On October 17, computer scientist and linguist Clif High shared a video on YouTube and claimed that there would be an alien invasion, 39 days after Joe Rogan interviewed Donald Trump. According to High, the battle would primarily be between the aliens and the military.
Thus, according to High's theory, December 3 was expected to be the Alien Invasion Day. What added to the speculation was a viral photo of four mysterious lights above the US Capitol, on December 2. As days neared December 3, social media platforms got flooded with the hashtag #alieninvasion.
US Air Force veteran and licensed tour guide Dennis Diggins shared the photo on social media, which further sparked debates. While a few people felt that there was some extraterrestrial presence, others seemed skeptical about it. Commenting on the viral hashtag, an X user (@nuffsaidny) wrote:
"Me enjoying my day, but also keeping an eye out for the #alieninvasion."
Another user tweeted:
"Considering how weird of a bizzaro timeline we are currently living in right now. An #alieninvasion would only make sense at this point and I actually welcome it..."
While High claimed that there would be an alien invasion, others like ufologist and researcher John Greenewald Jr. didn't seem to believe it. Greenewald took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on December 2, and wrote:
"Now, call me a pessimist, but I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say a UFO invasion ain't goin' to happen tomorrow."
"So we're going to have these...some kind of weird confrontation visible contention" - said Clif High about the alleged alien invasion
In the video, which soon went viral, Clif High predicted a possible alien invasion on December 3, which was set to be 39 days after Joe Rogan and Trump's interview held on October 25. According to High, the interview has been described as a "temporal marker." The computer scientist further claimed:
"So we're going to have these...some kind of weird confrontation visible contention which we could probably call and term combat in the skies that will show up and it'll show up at a predictable point, which is probably something over a month."
As per reports by Newsweek, High's prediction model, known as the Web Bot, helped in predicting future events by tracking keywords on the internet. Amid the chaos regarding the Alien Invasion trend on the internet and the mysterious lights over the US Capitol, Tiffany Gomas aka the "crazy plane lady" has made the headlines.
Gomas shared a photo of herself on X, on December 4, in which she could be seen wearing the same outfit that she wore the day on the plane when she claimed that a fellow passenger "was not real."
She further shared a tweet, in which he wrote:
"Officially ready for the invasion. Bring it on mf’ers. 👽
While there have reportedly been cases of UFO sightings lately, no confirmed cases of alien invasion, as suggested by High, have been reported.
