President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden spent their last Christmas in the White House this year. The 2024 holiday theme of the White House, "A Season of Peace and Light," contained elements like heartfelt messages, beautiful decorations, and tributes to military families.

Meanwhile, on December 24, Christmas Eve, a video was uploaded to the official social media accounts of the POTUS. The clip was basically a tour video featuring Biden's voice, as the President could be heard narrating the story of Jesus Christ's birth. He mentioned how the birth of Christ brought "hope, love, and peace."

The President then went on saying:

"Even after 2,000 years, Christmas still has the power to lift us up, to bring us together to change the life, change the world..."

The video, including the presentation and the narration, seemingly left netizens in awe. Many took to X to express their opinions on the same. A user (@bennyjohnson) wrote:

"Was this filmed by a New Jersey drone?"

Another user wrote on X:

"This is very neat, awesome transitions."
"Cool video, what a fun tour!" added a tweet.
"It’s beautiful, and I love it. Yet, at the same time, I can hear my wife complaining, 'Where are we going to store all of this stuff!!'" commented another netizen.

Others found the video and the concept "cool." A user tweeted:

"Nice video this year! The White House looks lovely! Merry Christmas Mr. President."
"As a proud Canadian, I want to thank you for the good wishes and the lovely White House tour," stated another one.
"This is so cool!" exclaimed a user.

How Joe and Jill Biden spent Christmas this year at the White House

Joe and Jill Biden spent their last Christmas in the White House this year in this position. The theme for the holidays was decided based on the Bidens wanting to impart a sense of unity and hope during the season, as per the press release by the White House on December 2, 2024. According to the official website whitehouse.gov, Jill Biden revealed the theme and wrote:

"The holidays have always held a special place in our hearts, and we’ve loved opening the doors of the People’s House wider and wider each year, continuing the spirit of goodwill and gratitude."

The Bidens also addressed the Americans and expressed gratitude to them. The statement further read:

"It has been the honor of our lives to serve as your President and First Lady. Our hope is for the Nation to be blessed with the peace and light of the holiday season. We wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays."

For the season, the White House has been decked up with more than 83 Christmas trees, over 28,125 ornaments, and more than 165,075 lights in its historic rooms. According to the website, Jill was in charge of keeping a check on the decorations, done in assistance with Bryan Rafanelli of Rafanelli Events.


Jill invited National Guard families to be the first to witness the massive decorations. Meanwhile, several other posts and photos of the POTUS and his wife surfaced on the internet.
