The internet is hailing Elon Musk as Donald Trump is all set to become the 47th President of the United States. As per The New York Times, the former endorsed the latter, contributed over $119 million to his PAC, and showed unparalleled online support.

While the X owner posted “Game, set, and match” on his social media platform on Tuesday night as Trump was projected to win the 2024 election, several conservatives joined him in the celebration following the much-anticipated victory and heaped praises on Elon Musk.

For instance, MAGA political influencer @Rachel4Trump_45 wrote in the comments:

“Thank you, Elon for buying Twitter! We wouldn’t be here if Twitter were still owned by Jack!”

Many joined the conversation on the platform and continued to hail Elon Musk’s contribution to Donald Trump’s win, chanting, “Thank You, Elon Musk.”

“Elon Musk buying X prevented them from cheating in this election — we have eyes everywhere. Free speech allowed this. Thank you, Elon,” a netizen wrote.

“Thank you for everything you’ve done, Elon Musk. Your purchase of Twitter has likely saved America and humanity. It needs to be said,” one netizen wrote.

“Thanks, Elon Musk. You are a hero for free speech,” wrote another.

Others continued to laud the Tesla CEO amid Trump’s win in the race to the White House.

“Thank you so much, Elon. You are truly a blessing from God. You saved free speech when you bought Twitter and you saved America when you put your time, money, and reputation 100% behind President Trump,” a person wrote.

“HELL YES. @elonmusk, the world owes you big time. Please, please beef up your security. We need you around. #ThankYouElon,” another person wrote.

Elon Musk attended Donald Trump’s election night gala

On the election night of November 5, Elon Musk was present at Donald Trump’s exclusive star-studded gala at his Mar-a-Lago beach property. The SpaceX CEO shared a picture of himself seated at the table during the party and sharing a conversation with the former President and UFC’s Dana White.

He captioned, “The future is gonna be so [fire emoji],” accompanied by two U.S. flags on both sides. Musk, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump ever since the July 13 assassination attempt on the latter, also shared several posts and reposts on X amid the MAGA leader’s win.

“The people of America gave @realDonaldTrump a crystal clear mandate for change tonight,” a post read.

In a follow-up post, he wrote, “America is a nation of builders. Soon, you will be free to build.” Meanwhile, a separate post contained the image of a spaceship launch, with the caption, “The future is gonna be fantastic.” He also shared updates on the “record usage” of X during the election season, asked people to be the “media,” and shared his old image standing in the Oval Office with a sink in hand.

Notably, Elon has claimed that he received a “lot of pressure” to shut down X over the last few months in the wake of his and fellow conservatives’ growing support for Donald Trump, but he apparently stood his ground and refused to budge to the alleged threats.

Trump’s Tuesday night party was also attended by his children Barron, Don Jr., Eric, and Ivanka, along with his wife Melania and daughter-in-law Lara, among others.

With a few more states to declare their final results, Donald Trump is now at 279 electoral votes as opposed to Kamala Harris' 223, as reported by BBC. The former won after crossing the winning mark of 270.
