American actress and comedian B Simone is facing backlash online for her comments on people who reportedly use horoscopes. She has also talked about what some people might consider unconventional spiritual practices.
In a recent video shared on Instagram on December 27, 2024, B Simone was further critical of people who employ crystals, sage, or horoscopes in their spiritual quest. Providing an explanation for why she no longer needs those items, she expressed:
“Just ask me. And what I need in my life, I don't need a tool. I need the blood… So if you ain't coming in the blood, hey, you can't go in the next year with me talking about did you read your daily microscope? I don't give a damn about what the horns don't say about Aries..”
After the video was uploaded to X by user @SacredWh*reee on the same day, people took to the platform to express their opinions on the entire matter. Many netizens disagreed with her and called her "dumb." One even claimed that she "is the epitome of a lost woman."
“Idk what's more dumb Horoscopes or B Simone. Who takes either seriously...” wrote one X user.
“B Simone saying 'I can’t take you into the new year if you into zodiacs & horoscopes & herbs & crystals' but then proceeds to say she needs the blood… she needs to be covered in the blood, as if the blood of a savior is less ritualistic. I mean you can’t make it up. so insane,” another one said.
“B. Simone is the epitome of a lost woman who follows trends including her faith when her only real desire is to be someone's wife,” wrote a user.
On the other hand, several netizens even agreed with her and said that she was right. One even took the time to clarify her point.
“What’s crazy is my pastor preaches that the wisemen followed astrology and sought Jesus for years based on the stars. Any Christian that then shuns astrology confuses the heck out of me because it’s literally in the Bible…” wrote another user.
“I’m with B on this she said it with love she said what she said,” one commented.
“I wanna clarify B. Simone’s point that people should be going to God instead of horoscopes first thing in the morning. God did create crystals just like Myrrh but Mary was not a teenager beloved,” said another X user, sharing the same video.
B Simone clarified herself after the backlash
In the same video, B Simone further went on to condemn the people who allegedly follow horoscopes. She then said that she couldn't go to 2025 with these people. Acknowledging her remarks would be "controversial," she said:
“This is gonna be controversial. This is gonna be really controversial, but I don't care. I gotta get this off my chest and I gotta let y'all know… I cannot go into 2025 with people who are still looking forward to their daily horoscope…”
She also said that even though she has rose quartz, she allegedly doesn't believe in them.
“I can't do it. This war we are fighting, I need some intercessors. Y'all over here carrying around Sage? Y'all still got rose quartz. I get it. I get it. I used to have the rose quartz in my b*a…” she continued.
Talking about how she doesn't support the use of quartz, B Simon then added:
“Like I'm gonna find me a ni*ga today. Yeah. This rose quartz, this rock is gonna bring me my husband… I get it. I have been there, but what I'm saying is I'm not there anymore. And nothing against the people who believe in that…”
However, this garnered backlash from the netizens. Then, reacting to the mixed reactions, Simone took to Instagram to comment under thejasminebrand's post and clarify her point of view.
She then urged the people who disagreed with her to speak to her directly. B Simone further remarked that she would love to share her experience and her encounter. She concluded the video by saying:
“Everyone under this post that wants to have a civilized conversation please send me a Instagram direct message... I would love to share my experience & my encounter with Jesus Christ and why I believe the path of Crystal Sage witchcraft and idolatry is dangerous.”
Apart from the Instagram comment, B Simon has not made any additional remarks about the whole matter.
