Chanel Banks has made her way back into the headlines as the Gossip Girl alum has now requested a temporary restraining order against her cousin, Danielle-Tori Singh, and her mother, Lutchmin Judy Kumar. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the complaint submitted by Chanel states that both the women allegedly harassed her and worked together to “manufacture” the story of her going missing.

She also claimed:

“They orchestrated this scheme in order to humiliate me publicly and ruin my professional acting career.”

Chanel alleged that Danielle and Lutchmin repeatedly tried to contact her, even though she clarified to them that she wanted to distance herself from both of them in October this year. The actress mentioned that as she stopped communicating with both women, they allegedly filed a missing person report claiming that Chanel had gone missing.

Furthermore, as per Page Six, the complaint filed by Banks also alleged that her mom and cousin tried to contact her even after her husband, Carlos Himenez, assured them that the actress was fine. She also mentioned that the duo insisted on not speaking to Carlos and wanted to have a word with Chanel directly.

As Chanel Banks filed a restraining order against Kumar and Singh, she alleged that the duo broke into her apartment on November 10, 2024, supposedly to attack her husband. She mentioned that at the time, she was not in town, so her mother and daughter allegedly took away her husband’s work badge and installed an Apple AirTag on her car to keep an eye on her movements.

She further alleged that when Chanel refused to speak to Kumar and Singh, they repeatedly accused her husband, Jimenez, of murdering her. As per Page Six, the actress also claimed that both the women also stated that Chanel should be put on "5150 psychiatric hold."

The whole fiasco occurred just a month after Singh and Kumar filed a missing person’s report claiming they could not find Chanel at her Los Angeles home. At the time, Danielle Singh spoke to Eyewitness News and claimed:

“Five days without hearing from my cousin is red flags and alarm bells. She doesn’t go more than 48 hours without speaking to me or her mom. That girl is more like a big sister to me.”

However, the Los Angeles police department clarified later that Chanel was found safely. Banks even released a statement to inform the public that she had not gone missing. Speaking to True Crime News in November, Chanel Banks said:

“My name is Chanel Banks I’m a 36-year-old American nobody, and for my entire life I have been silently carrying the pain of the ritual … abuse, manipulation, and outright endless torment I’ve endured continuously since I was a defenceless baby, at the hands of my own so-called family, who are all so very concerned about my current whereabouts.”

Chanel Banks continued:

“I have met with the police and verified that not only am I OK, but I’m finally free. For the record — I have no mental health or any other record aside from a parking ticket here and there, so law enforcement would unquestionably and mercilessly pursue me.”

Furthermore, in her complaint requesting a restraining order, Chanel Banks also claimed that her family harassed her and her husband, causing alleged markings on Carlos Himenez’s body. However, TMZ reported that a few sources close to the family revealed that Himenez had the markings long before Lutchmin and Danielle allegedly entered their apartment forcefully.
