A mother is getting trolled online for selling the tickets to Taylor Swift’s upcoming concert following the latter showing support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential elections. Swift took to her Instagram account on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, to tell her 283 million followers that she was endorsing the Harris-Walz campaign as she believed that the current vice president “fights for the rights and causes” she believes in.
The mother’s identity was not made public at the time of writing this article. While explaining why she was putting the Toronto, Canada, November 15th The Eras Tour tickets for sale, the mother stated:
“Taylor, you are a billionaire, the rest of us are not. The rest of us are struggling. People cannot afford homes, some of us are losing our businesses and Harris gets into office our economy is screwed. But I know that doesn’t affect you because you’ve got all that money- private planes. You just don’t live in that kind of world.”
Speaking about why she believed that Taylor Swift was endorsing Kamala Harris, the mother stated:
“So it really seems to me that the issue at hand here is LGBTQ rights and aborting babies. And neither of those are affected under Donald Trump… how can you call yourself a believer if you believe in killing babies.”
The mother then stated that she was selling her tickets to the concert she was going to take her 13-year-old daughter to, which was also supposed to be the teenager’s birthday gift.
The video had amassed millions of views online at the time of writing this article. Many were furious about her actions, with some comments online reading:
