Former Chrisley Knows Best star Chase Chrisley was arrested on Thursday, January 9, 2025, on a charge of simple battery. People magazine confirmed that he was taken into police custody in Atlanta, Georgia, citing police records. As per the media outlet, the incident occurred on January 6, days before he was taken by police.

Police records, via People, detailed the events leading up to the reality TV star's arrest. Atlanta Police Department officers reportedly responded to a call about an assault at the local Twin Peaks Sports Bar on January 6. The caller identified himself as the general manager and claimed that Chase Chrisley assaulted him. However, per the report, he "was no longer on [the] scene" when the police arrived after the call.

People further cited TMZ, mentioning about Chrisley allegedly becoming "really drunk" at the sports bar before he "started to act very disrespectful and belligerent." The bar manager reportedly asked him to leave the premises "multiple times," but he refused to leave and instead "slapped him in the face twice."

According to In Touch Weekly, the manager didn't have any injuries and declined to receive any medical attention.

Per the police records, Chase Chrisley was already released on bail on the same day of his arrest after paying $10,000 following his arrest.

Chase Chrisley's attorney claims that the incident is "blown out of proportion" following his arrest for battery

Following Chase Chrisley's arrest on January 9, the Chrisley Knows Best alum didn't comment on the incident. However, his lawyers from The Findling Law Firm, Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, and Zack Findling, shared a statement with People magazine. They claimed that the alleged battery incident that led to their client's arrest "has been entirely blown out of proportion."

His attorneys further claimed that Chrisley didn't assault anyone and had called a driver to take him home during the night of the alleged incident:

"Chase Chrisley had done the right thing that evening by calling a driver to take him home. He did not assault anyone. Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave."

Chrisley's lawyers further mentioned that they plan on "independently investigating" what happened that night.

As for Chase Chrisley, he didn't directly address the arrest, but he returned to social media the day after getting out of jail. On January 10, per In Touch Weekly, he reportedly shared a photo of a Mercedes-Benz car in the falling snow on his Instagram Story. He added the lyrics about prison time from the song Dum, Dumb, and Dumber by Lil Baby, Young Thug, and Future. The lyrics he typed over the image read:

"I don't even believe I was locked up for real, for real. I was having my way the whole time, fool, you know what I'm sayin'?"

According to People magazine, Chase Chrisley isn't the first in his family to be booked into jail. His parents, Todd and Julie, are currently behind bars for bank fraud and tax evasion. Julie Chrisley is set to be released in March 2028, while the Chrisley patriarch won't be getting out of the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola until May 2032.

Moreover, his brother, Kyle, was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest in September 2024, along with multiple arrests over the years.
