Devin Williams, the former partner of Kelsey Pumel, whose TikTok channel Growing With Kelsey has about 2.5 million followers, was shot and killed in Indianapolis on Monday, October 22, 2023.
IndyStar, citing the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, reported on early Monday morning, around 6 a.m., officers responded to reports of a person shot inside a home in the 5900 block of Riva Ridge Drive. Upon arrival, they found Williams dead at the scene.
At the time, police reportedly determined the shooting was self-inflicted. However, further investigation led them to arrest a suspect in the case. Police have not revealed additional details, including the identity of the suspect.

The death of Devin Williams, a basketball enthusiast who engaged in boxing and martial arts, was confirmed by his former partner TikTok star Kelsey Pumel, with whom he shared a daughter. Discussing her ex-partner's death in a TikTok video Pummel said:
“I fought so hard and did everything right so (Kobe) wouldn’t have any trauma,” Pummel said in a TikTok video discussing her ex-partner's death. “He just left her with a lifetime full of it and I can’t protect her from this.”
Williams' death was also mourned by his current partner Jessica Sue, who in an emotional tribute on Facebook, wrote:
“Fly high my love. I miss you so much & can’t wait to see you again. I can’t wrap my head around this.”
In a Facebook post, a friend said that Willaims went to the University of Indianapolis and played basketball for the school. The friend penned a poignant post mourning Willaims' death.
“Losing Devin feels like a part of me is lost forever. Although life took us down two different paths we remained close and connected. My heart and prayers are with Devin’s daughter Kobe, Mother, Sister and all the loved ones left behind.”
Another friend also posted a tribute to the late University of Indianapolis graduate, who was violently killed in a senseless tragedy.
“Devin Williams Dwill was my role dog, my teammate, and one of my best friends! We were together almost every day for 6-7 years straight. Life took us in different ways but the love was always there! This news is hard for me to process and I have a million things going through my head! But for now, I love you man and I know you are in a better place!”
Several others also took to the internet to express their grief over the tragic passing of Willaims, unanimously described as a fiercely kind individual.
As people continued to grieve Devin Williams' death, authorities have yet to reveal further details in connection to their investigation.
