Sunny K. White has been taken into custody in connection to the alleged murder of an indigenous woman identified as Mika Westwolf
On March 31, a tragic incident took place after an indigenous woman was reportedly struck by a truck while she was walking home. The more disturbing part of the case is that the driver was a 28-year-old alleged white supremacist. The suspect was allegedly on drugs when she hit Mika Westwolf a few months back. Although the incident happened months back, it took cops about seven months to take her into custody.
The suspect was driving a Cadillac Escalate and had her kids in the back seat. Authorities found the indigenous woman, who was declared dead on the scene. In April 2023, she was arrested and charged with criminal child endangerment. Those charges were eventually dropped. It was stated that the Montana Highway Patrol needed more time to investigate the matter that allegedly took place on Highway 93 near White Coyote Road.
After the tragic incident, multiple people have made speculations regarding the case being an instance of a hate crime. Meanwhile, Trooper Wayne Bieber of the Montana Highway Patrol appeared unfamiliar with the basic facts regarding the case. In May and June, it was speculated that the investigation was haphazard.

"Once they found out that she was a young Indian woman, and it was late at night, early in the morning, they started investigating whether or not she was drinking or doing drugs. Then they started investigating if she was suicidal."
The suspect was finally arrested on October 20, 2023, and was booked into the Flathead County Jail. However, she was released after posting a bond on Sunday. At about 4:15 am on the dreadful night, Tribal Police Officer T.J. Haynes discovered the body of Mika Westwolf. Law&Crime reported that the victim had died of several blunt force injuries.
