TikTokers Sophia La Corte and Halley Kate have become the topic of discussion after the former broke her silence about going on a date with the latter’s now-boyfriend Reed Williams. The two women seemingly got into a feud after Kate took to the internet in 2023 to throw shade at La Corte for spending time with Williams, who was Kate’s ex-boyfriend then.

For those uninitiated, Reddit user u/No-Menu-3707 took to the r/NYCinfluencersnark subreddit in December 2023 to share a now-archived picture of Sophia La Corte cozying up to Reed Williams, who was Halley Kate’s ex-boyfriend then.

In response, Kate said in a now-deleted TikTok that someone she considered a “friend” pursed Williams.

“Ladies, let me be your lesson. Never feel sorry for a man or defend him because (not even three weeks after dumping you out of the blue) after you try to protect him he will go on a date with someone you considered a friend and were with the night before buying shots for," Kate said.

Months later, Halley Kate reunited with Reed Williams. On August 18, Sophia La Corte used TikTok to reignite the feud and share her side of the story in a three-part series.

On August 18, in a TikTok video titled “part 1: how I got canceled by a girl I met maybe three times,” La Corte explained that an unnamed girl got her “canceled” and “destroyed” online. Many were quick to assume that she was referring to her beef with Kate.

La Corte revealed that she went out on a date with an unidentified man, whom fans assumed was Williams. The former claimed that the date went well and that she suspiciously received a message from Halley Kate, who was named in the video. The message reportedly read:

“Hi, this is Halley, I’m getting DMs that you were on a date with my ex last night, LOL. I don’t want to be weird, but is that true? Just wanna know so I can tell people to stop commenting that.”

Sophia La Corte revealed that she did not respond to Kate’s message as she was aware of Williams being single then. She also told followers that she did not feel compelled to side with Kate and not date Williams as she never had a one-on-one conversation with Kate.

Halley Kate took to the video-sharing platform to respond to La Corte’s series by telling her followers that she wished to remain as authentic as possible. She also said:

“I get on this app every day to make people smile. I used to come on and be so excited to check my comments and now I dread opening my phone and reading lies, rumors and hate.”

Kate went on to thank her supporters and told fans that she does her best to “ignore the noise” and wants to “rise above.”
