In a chilling incident, Chamonix skier Tof Henry, aged 38, died in a tragic accident at the summit of the Puntiagudo volcano in Chile on October 11, 2023. As per reports, Chilean mountain guide Juan Señoret also died in the accident as Tof Henry and Juan fell in a steep zone while skiing from the 2439m summit.

Photographer Mathurin Vauthier was also with Juan and Tof, but he did not get injured during the accident. Currently, what caused the shocking incident is still unclear.

Tof Henry was known to be a legendary skier. He was popular for changing the step skiing. Moreover, five days before his accident, on October 6, he shared an Instagram post from El Chalten. He even wrote in his caption,

"A spectacular arrival in El Chalten. We leave for a new push of 10h. Our new passion, it announces two days of weather slots. We leave at 2 am from El Chalten. Direction "Cerro Solo" The approach walk is long and my skis hit 1000 branches before arriving in the moraines."
