On April 17, 2023, 30-year-old Jordan Viscomi, an instructor at David Sanders Dance Dynamics on Sunrise Highway in Oakdale, was arrested over crimes against two female teenage students. Jordan of Centereach was accused of allegedly having s*xual video chats and sending inappropriate content to the victims, aged 15 and 16.

Jordan was initially charged with six counts of using a child in a s*xual performance, but as the investigation progressed, more charges were added, including four counts of promoting a s*xual performance by a child, child endangerment, and disseminating indecent material to minors.
Jordan Viscomi pleaded not guilty to the charges
Suffolk County Police reported that in April, at the studio, Jordan Viscomi allegedly befriended the students, and over a three-day period, he engaged both of them in live video chats and texts, in which s*xual content was exchanged.
Suffolk County Police arrested Jordan during a traffic stop near his residence in Centereach, New York, and was held overnight at the sixth Precinct in Selden.
On May 18, 2023, Jordan made his first appearance at First District Court in Central Islip, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
NBC New York reported that the judge set bail at $250,000 for each count, which Jordan's attorney claimed to be exorbitant and pledged to fight the charges.
As per the report by NBC New York, Jordan's attorney, Steve Politi said:
"Not only is my client presumed innocent, he’s actually innocent. Everything that I’ve been told is he’s an exceptional young man who has never done anything wrong in his entire life...he willingly turned over all his devices to the government."
Authorities believe there may be more victims and are requesting anyone who might have been harassed by Jordan Viscomi to reach out to the detectives.
Jordan Viscomi's employment has been put on hold at the dance studio
Jordan Viscomi, who is a professional dancer, has performed with many renowned artists, including American singer Ariana Grande.
David Sanders Dance Dynamics is a chain studio with branches in Ronkonkoma, East Islip, and North Babylon, along with Oakdale. NBC New York reported that Jordan has been suspended by the dance studio pending further investigation.
In a statement to NBC New York, the owner of David Sanders Dance Dynamics said the alleged crimes Jordan is charged with did not take place at the studio.
The owner of the studio told NBC New York,
"First and foremost, the safety of our students and the dance community at large is a top priority to us...When apprised of possible misconduct a few weeks ago we immediately suspended Mr. Viscomi’s employment pending further investigation. We do take matters like this very seriously."
Jordan Viscomi's next appearance in court is scheduled for May 23, 2023.
