McDonald's employee allegedly killed three people including his mom, grandmother, and manager in murder-suicide

On Thursday, police received a report about a male and a female who were found dead at a McDonald's outlet in Georgia's Moultrie. The female was identified as 41-year-old Amia Smith, the store manager, and the other body belonged to 26-year-old Kentavious White. He allegedly carried out a shooting spree killing two other people apart from Amia, and then finally shot himself.

Kentavious is believed to have killed his 50-year-old mother Susie Arnold at her house, and his 74-year-old grandmother Hilda Marshall at the house next door on the same day. He then arrived at the McDonald's outlet, and surveillance footage captured him shooting Amia Smith.

Arnold died on the scene, while Marshall was rushed to the hospital where she breathed her last. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation addressed the horrific shooting and said:

“White shot Smith, killing her. White is then seen entering the restaurant where he takes his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot.”

According to the coroner, the three victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Colquitt County Coroner C. Verlyn Brock further mentioned:

“I can’t for the life of me figure out what provoked him in that way.”

Kentavious White was involved in a gunfight on Tuesday

Upon further investigation, law enforcement officials discovered that White was involved in a gunfight with another male on Tuesday during his lunch break. However, nobody was injured. The other man was identified as Rahiem Rashad Kinsey, who was arrested and remains behind bars in Moultrie.

According to Moultrie Police Chief Sean Ladson, the shooting that killed the three women on Thursday was not linked with the gunfight between White and Kinsey.

Colquitt County's government administrator Chas Cannon said:

“A killing is pretty rare in our neck of the woods. It’s surprising. But this day and time, our jail’s at capacity, our local prison’s at capacity. There’s a lot of folks breaking the law, unfortunately.”

Amia Smith's cousin, Felicia McGough addressed the tragic incident and stated:

“I don’t know what caused him to do that.”

As per Law & Cime, Tanner Strickland, a co-worker of Hilda Marshall and Susie Arnold reacted to the tragic news and said:

“Hilda would have been at work today. Both of them are two of the most amazing people I’ve had the pleasure of being around.”

Law enforcement officials are yet to discover the possible motive behind the horrific shootout and more details about the case are currently awaited.
