American comedian and actress Margaret Cho recently commented about the alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO shooter, Luigi Mangione. During a recent interview on the Out100 red carpet, an event hosted by Out Magazine that honors the most significant LGBTQ+ individuals of the year, she further remarked about Mangione's body, abs, and eyebrows.

In the video, which was uploaded on X by @EndWokeness on December 15, the interviewer asked:

"What are you holding space for right now?"

To this, she replied:

"The United Healthcare CEO shooter. I am holding space for, as most people I know are. We are holding space for those eyebrows, that body, the abs.."

A clip of this exchange was posted to X by user @MarioNawfal on the same day, who wrote:

"DISTURBING: COMEDIAN MARGARET CHO PRAISES UNITEDHEALTHCARE CEO SHOOTER LUIGI MANGIONE."

As of writing, the post had 774,000 views. Following this, British broadcaster Piers Morgan criticized Cho as he reshared the post on his X account and added:

"Sickening. What is wrong with these people?"

Comedian Margaret Cho's opinion came after Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old Ivy League graduate from a well-known Maryland family, was arrested for reportedly shooting and killing United HealthCare CEO Brian Thompson on December 4. He allegedly did it as Thompson left his hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

Following a tip from a staff member on Monday, December 9, Mangione was taken into custody at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania. As per the police, after he was arrested, it was allegedly discovered that he was carrying a US passport and four fake identification cards. He was also allegedly carrying a ghost gun with a silencer and a scrawled manifesto that contained passages from Ted Kaczynski's Unabomber.

Police further discovered a gun on Luigi Mangione that they claimed matched the shot casings found at the shooting scene. On some ammunition casings, Mangione allegedly wrote words like "deny," "depose," and "defend."

According to the authorities, his fingerprints have also been linked to a water bottle and a wrapper they discovered close to the site. He was also found with a scribbled note that had phrases and words like "parasites" that "had it coming."

Furthermore, according to the note, the US has the most expensive healthcare system in the world, and while "life expectancy" is declining, the profits of big businesses are increasing. Additionally, the note also denounced businesses who

"Continue to abuse our country for immense profit because the American public has allowed them to get away with it."

It further added:

"It is not an issue of awareness at this point, but clearly power games at play. Evidently, I am the first to face it with such brutal honesty."

Mangione was then first charged locally with carrying a firearm illegally and using a false identity. Later, the New York authorities also charged him with second-degree murder and other charges.

On Monday night, Luigi Mangione showed up in a Pennsylvania court, but he chose not to enter a plea.

On the other hand, according to Reuters' report from December 12, following Luigi Mangione's arrest, GoFundMe, the online fundraiser, received a hefty sum of money for his legal defense in addition to supportive remarks.

Newsweek further reported on December 13 that the fundraiser had raised more than $75,000. The fundraiser's description said:

"We are not here to celebrate violence, but we do believe in the constitutional right of fair legal representation."

Nevertheless, since GoFundMe's rules of service forbid fundraising for the legal defense of violent crimes, the platform took down Luigi Mangione's fundraiser on December 14. However, it was then picked up by GiveSendGo, another fundraising website, which has already received $128,718 out of its target of $200,000.

Luigi Mangione, however, was denied bail and is currently staying at Huntingdon State Correctional Institution.

Nevertheless, as per Newsweek's December 16 report, it sent an email seeking response from Morgan and Cho representatives. However, no one reached out to them as of yet.
