Comedian Nikki Glaser recently came under fire for her comments about a woman she met during her Eras Tour show in Vancouver. During a recent episode of The Nikki Glaser Podcast, Nikki said that she encountered an unnamed woman at the show, which made her concert experience unpleasant.
Days after Nikki Glaser uploaded her podcast, a Rolling Stone reporter named Lindsay Perrin claimed that she was the woman Glaser had mentioned on her podcast. In an Instagram post, she spoke out against the comedian's comments, calling them "hurtful" and "disheartening." In her post, Perrin said she had been at "The Eras Tour" to cover the final show for the publication.
On December 12, 2024, Nikki Glaser, who is expected to host the 2025 Golden Globes, unpacked her encounter with Perrin in episode 495 of her podcast. She claimed she had previously run into Perrin during a show in Indianapolis and didn't like her behavior then.
Nikki Glaser added that she was at the Eras Vancouver show with her mom when she saw Perrin again. She called the reporter a "gutter punk b***h," claiming Perrin snuck into her section and got ahead of her. She also claimed Perrin was recording the show on her phone the whole time.
"We're at Vancouver Eras, and I go, "Mom, look who it is." She f**king snuck in our row again. The same gutter punk b***h, the same woman with her little twitchy, like squirrel with like rabies behavior. And she's by herself...She makes me so sick," Glaser said in her podcast.
"She snuck in again and she didn't fit in our row so she moved in front of us and she's not even paying attention to the show, she's just on her phone. She's trying to get footage."
Nikki Glaser also said that Perrin's energy made her "sick." While she admitted to being mean, she added that she wanted a security guard to escort Perrin from the arena. However, she said she refrained from doing so to be a "better person."
"Her energy makes me sick. I know I'm being so mean because she's probably like a struggling person. And I was so wanting to sic a security guard on her but I was like, "No be a better person. Just let her enjoy her night. This girl probably doesn't have much to live for,"" Glaser said on her podcast.
She dubbed Perrin her mortal enemy, calling her a "weasel" and "disgusting." Nikki Glaser also claimed that Perrin had worn a shirt decorated with dirty confetti that she picked up off the floor from Taylor Swift's previous shows.
How did Lindsay Perrin respond to Nikki Glaser's comments?
Ten days after the podcast was uploaded, Lindsay Perrin took to her Instagram page to address the situation with Nikki Glaser. She went through all the points Glaser had mentioned about her and explained her behavior.
Perrin claimed to be a Rolling Stone reporter the publication sent to cover Taylor Swift's last Eras Tour show. She explained she recorded the show on her phone because she was there alone for work.
The reporter added that she had to keep leaving her seat to go throw up in the restroom as she was pregnant. Perrin also said the confetti she had stuck on her shirt was new, and she had purchased it from Amazon for the show. She also added that she had never taken a picture of the comedian, contrary to what Glaser had alleged on her podcast.
Perrin expressed her disappointment at Nikki Glaser's remarks about another fellow Swiftie, claiming they starkly contrasted with the welcoming atmosphere Swift created during her shows.
"What is most surprising is that Nikki is discussing another woman, a fellow Swiftie. @taylorswift has created an incredibly safe and joyful environment at her concerts, fostering a sense of community among her fans," Perrin wrote in the caption of her post.
"In stark contrast, Nikki's remarks undermine this spirit, revealing a cruelty that is difficult to comprehend. It’s disappointing to see negativity intrude upon a space that should uplift and connect people through shared passion."
Perrin also said she was disappointed at the Golden Globes for hiring "someone of this demeanor" to host their 2025 event in January. She added it was "shameful" to celebrate "a bully" at the awards show.
Nikki Glaser has yet to respond to Lindsay Perrin at the time of this article.
