Google co-founder Sergey Brin is the latest billionaire to meet with president-elect Donald Trump after his 2024 US election win. The tech billionaire, who has an estimated net worth of $161 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, was reportedly spotted at Trump's Mar-a-Lago home on December 12, 2024.

According to The Daily Mail, Instagram influencer Jessica Reed Kraus, aka HouseInhabit, reportedly set up the visit. The influencer, allegedly a close friend of the Brin family, claimed the tech billionaire reached out first to meet the president-elect.

"It was Sergey who reached out and wanted to have dinner with Trump. Of course Trump said yes. These are the biggest companies on the planet and he takes them very seriously. But you can bet he always was frank in telling them what he thinks of them," a source claimed.

Several tech billionaires have been meeting the president-elect since his win. Sergey Brin's meeting with Trump came after Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg dined with the president-elect in November. Meta, Facebook's parent company, recently disclosed it would donate $1 million to Trump's inauguration fund.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is reportedly scheduled to meet the president-elect next week. He also announced the company would donate $1 million to Trump's inauguration fund.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk was a staple during Trump's presidential campaign, funneling millions of dollars into the election and attending several rallies to show his support.

Sergey Brin previously called Trump's 2016 win "deeply offensive"

Google co-founder Sergey Brin has seemingly changed his stance about Donald Trump's political win over the years after a leaked video showed he called the president-elect's 2016 win "deeply offensive."

According to BBC, the Breitbart website uploaded a leaked video in September 2018 that showed Google executives' reactions to the 2016 election results.

During the 60-minute presentation, Sergey Brin, a Russian immigrant, can be heard saying:

"As an immigrant and a refugee, I certainly find this election deeply offensive and I know many of you do, too. I think it’s a very stressful time. It conflicts with many of our values. It’s a good time to reflect on that."

Other top-level executives in the meeting included co-founder Larry Page, CEO Sundar Pichai, and executive Kent Walker. While the latter spoke about the rising xenophobia in America, Pichai added that many Google employees emailed him their concerns after Trump's win.

Following the leaked video, Google released a statement to clarify that the comments were personal opinions which came at the end of a "long and divisive election season," and did not reflect any "political bias."

"Nothing was said at that meeting, or any other meeting, to suggest that any political bias ever influences the way we build or operate our products. To the contrary, our products are built for everyone and we design them with extraordinary care to be a trustworthy source of information for everyone, without regard to political viewpoint," the statement added.

Born in Russia in 1973, Sergey Brin immigrated to the US when he was six years old. He was doing his PhD in computer science at Stanford University when he met fellow Google co-founder Larry Page.

The two developed their web search engine, which became a hit at Stanford. Following this, he dropped out of university to start Google.

He also co-founded Alphabet Inc., Google's parent company, where he was president till 2019. As per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Sergey Brin is reportedly the eighth richest person in the world.
