NELK Boys’ Kyle Forgeard confirmed his endorsement of presidential candidate Donald Trump at the latter’s Las Vegas campaign that took place on September 13, 2024. The former also claimed that he wished to see the former Potus remove the supposed 95% tax on Zyn.
This is not the first time a NELK member has extended support to the Republican candidate. The YouTubers have been ardent supporters of him since 2021.
X user @scubaryan_ took to the social networking site to share a video of Kyle Forgeard’s remarks he made on stage while standing next to Donald Trump. The NELK Boys member said:
“We need Trump back and we need him back bad. One more thing that I’m passionate about: Governor Tim Walz put a 95% tax on Zyn, we gotta get that removed, President Trump.”
The video had amassed 24,000 views at the time of writing this article.
For those uninitiated, Zyn is a brand of tobacco-free nicotine pouches that has recently gained popularity among the younger generation. The product is often used among those aged 21+ to help them reduce the usage of traditional tobacco.
However, the medication, which is not FDA-approved, seems to be a product that many have gotten addicted to, with sales increasing by a 641% between 2019 and 2022 as per Lung Org.
A look inside the NELK Boys’ Trump endorsement as YouTube group member takes Las Vegas stage alongside Donald Trump
The NELK Boys, which include Stephen Deleonardis, Jesse Sebastiani, Salim The Dream, and Kyle were introduced to Trump in 2020 by UFC president Dana White. The group secured a trip to Air Force One and were also lavishly praised by him, subsequently leading to them dancing to YMCA onstage during a rally.
The following year, Donald Trump Jr. became one of the NELK Boys’ first guests on their podcast. Trump himself also appeared on the podcast; however, the episode was taken down by YouTube after the former president allegedly lied about the 2020 elections in the podcast episode.
The NELK Boys have since golfed with Trump, with Stephen Deleonardis also gifting him a $75,000 Rolex watch.
Medical experts strongly recommend avoiding Zyn due to its health risks
Meanwhile, Tim Walz, the Democratic Vice President nominee running alongside Kamala Harris, certainly placed a hefty tax of 95% on the addictive pouches last month. They are now priced at $10 in Minnesota versus the regular $5 in most of the country. Not many were pleased with the move.
Zyn has grown in popularity considering that it is smoke-free, unlike smoking and vaping. Speaking about how it has been marketed to the younger generation, with “Zynfluencers” also making it to social media, Dr. Nidhi Kumar said exclusively to CBS New York:
“We are hooking a whole new generation of young people on to nicotine. The marketing strategies, the packaging looks like candy, flavors like cinnamon and mint, and even names like'smooth’ or 'chill.’ I mean, who are these products appealing to? Young people.”
Meanwhile, health experts have raised awareness over the multiple risks of Zyn, including its oral, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal impacts.
