On December 30, 2024, @Alphafox78 shared a TikTok video on X of Gorlock the Destroyer, whose real name is Ali C. Lopez. In the video, Lopez is seen celebrating her newly attained weight of 500 pounds.

As a result, the influencer's video, shared with their millions of followers, sparked an outpouring of reactions from netizens, with some raising concerns about the implications of normalizing extreme obesity —

Moreover, many users on X stated that people on the internet should stop making such influencers famous. Some reactions were as follows.

On Monday, December 30, 2024, a video of Gorlock The Destroyer began circulating online. In the video, Lopez could be seen wearing a spaghetti strap powder pink satin dress, styled with long wavy hair, pink makeup, bold eyelashes, and matching pink gloves.

The video's setting, filmed in a room or studio, featured a "500" balloon decoration on the wall, marking the occasion. Lopez held a pink-themed cake adorned with white cream frosting, pink sprinkles, and a 500-shaped candle with a strawberry.

The video began with Lopez showcasing her outfit while licking the cake, followed by snippets of her enjoying pink confetti. She also showed the camera a close-up of the cake, smiled and laughed while eating it. The 32-second video ended with her blowing the candles out.

The 24-year-old trans woman, who rose to fame in April 2023, gained widespread attention after appearing on the podcast Whatever titled Gorlock The Destroyer! RAGEQUIT KEEKO vs. CHASE! Round 2! FIGHT! | Dating Talk #69.

The podcast went viral when Lopez appeared alongside three conventionally skinny women. A tweet from user @RichardRatBoy1 further fueled her rise to fame on April 26, 2023, which referenced Lopez as Gorlock The Destroyer. The tweet garnered over 142,000 likes, 14.7 million views, and 12,000 retweets —

Lopez's fame also surged when, during the podcast, the host asked the group to rate themselves on a scale of one to ten. In response, Lopez boldly declared herself a "fat ten" —
