Singer Justin Bieber reportedly blocked Hybe America CEO Scooter Braun and his business partner Allison Kaye on Instagram. On Saturday, January 4, 2024, eagle-eyed fans noticed the Peaches hitmaker was not following Braun or Kaye. Braun later deactivated his account on the platform.

For the unversed, Scooter Braun discovered Bieber (then 13) through his YouTube channel in 2008 and has managed the singer since. However, over the last few years, their relationship seemed tense. According to an August 2023 report by Billboard, Bieber was actively trying to "extract" himself from the partnership.

Allison Kaye is a music executive who has worked with Braun since 2009 at the latter's entertainment and marketing company, SB Projects. She has been a part of the Peaches hitmakers's team (as a general manager) since his My World (his debut EP) days.

As news of the development went viral, internet users were quick to speculate. Many wondered if it stemmed from Bieber being exploited by the pair when he was a teenager. Here are some comments seen on Reddit:

Kaye began her career working in the business and legal affairs department at TVT Records and later took a position as a legal counsel for the business and legal affairs department at Razor & Tie. In October 2009, she joined SB Projects, LLC, Scooter Braun's then newly founded company, as an executive. She is currently the president of the venture.

According to a June 2021 report by Variety, the pair has worked together through the ups and downs since then. In addition, she was part of the crew who worked on the Canadian singer's MV for tracks like Peaches, Ghost, Anyone, and Stay.

According to her September 2015 interview in Glamour magazine, Allison Kaye's work has earned her several accolades. This includes being named one of Billboard's Most Powerful Women in Music (in 2013 and 2014). She told the publication:

"The most challenging part about being a manager is keeping everyone happy and working towards the same goal. But, when you can achieve that it is beyond rewarding."

According to Kaye's Instagram profile, she married AJ Scarinzi in April 2012, and the couple share three children: Barrett, Elle, and Ryan.

Neither Allison Kaye, Justin Bieber, nor Scooter Braun has publicly commented on the development.
