Brandon Dillard, a self-proclaimed “dentist,” has been accused by the Fulton County Authorities of allegedly practicing without a license. As per WSB TV, authorities have issued a criminal arrest warrant against Brandon Dillard after a raid at his Northeast Atlanta offices of “A List Smiles.” After the raid, Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Will Wooten issued a statement:
“Brandon Dillard is not a dentist. He’s never been a dentist. And as much as he may want to play one on Instagram, he is not one."
On the other hand, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis also spoke to Channel 2 and said:
If you went to this and you thought it was a dental office and you looked at the equipment, it appears to be legitimate. But that’s what the best fraudsters do, is they do everything they can to make themselves look legitimate.”
He continued:
“And in this case, this is an illegitimate operation. The problem is the consequences are to one’s health,”
Allegedly, for the offence, Brandon is facing several charges, including practising dentistry without a license, practising medicine without a license, and theft by deception.
Brandon Dillard charged $6,000 from people to help them become “Veneer Specialists”
As the authorities unmasked Brandon Dillard, a man who allegedly practiced as a “dentist” without having a proper degree, they also specified that Brandon Dillard was allegedly charging more than $6,000 per person to train them to become “Veneer Specialists.”
Further, the officers claim that in the state, there is no such thing as a Veneer Specialist or a Veneer Technician. The Fulton County Deputy District Attorney said:
“Many, many people paid this defendant to receive training on how to do this illegal conduct. I am not interested in prosecuting those persons. I am interested in them stopping this work and finding out who they are because they are also victims."
It is worth noting that Brandon, who has been working as a dentist since 2021, has close to 160,000 followers on Instagram. His social media profile is full of posts that show people’s transformations with the help of veneers.
Brandon Dillard’s company, “A List Cosmetics,” describes itself as a clinic “to help people with veneers by providing the benefits of cleaning and removing stains, cavity protection, fresher breath, and whitening.”
On the other hand, the authorities are now requesting that people who have taken the services of Brandon, whether for training or as patients, come forward. The attorney claims:
“They were enticing people to come in to take these classes so that you could get rich too. But you were getting rich doing something that’s completely illegal."
While the authorities have released Brandon’s arrest warrant and asked to close all of his clinics, it is not clear at the moment if he has been arrested. Furthermore, Brandon’s clinic or team have not revealed any details about the investigation.
