Speculation about lifestyle website Mama and Tata’s co-founder Candice Miller’s husband, Brandon Miller’s tragic death emerged on Reddit on Tuesday (July 2). Discussion under a now-deleted post under the sub-Reddit community r/NYCinfluencersnark suggested that Brandon, a real estate developer, had likely committed suicide. Some publications reported the news of his alleged death.

Netizens took to Reddit to share their worry about Candice and Brandon’s two daughters who are still young. They said the children must have been going through a devastating situation if the news about his death was true.

Some noted the couple was likely going through some marital problems before Candice went on her first-ever girls' trip, and she was probably on vacation when she supposedly received the news.

Some claimed Candice's husband was struggling with some financial problems and likely owed around 50 million to someone, implying the hefty debt could have been the reason for his purported suicide.

Another person noted Brandon always looked somewhat sad under all the glamorous lifestyle Candice Miller had been posting online.

However, it is to be noted that Candice Miller or anyone from Brandon's side of the family has not made a public confirmation or announcement about his death.

One person claimed the obituaries for Brandon Miller posted on some websites are generated using AI and are not real.

Candice Miller and her husband Brandon were childhood friends before romance bloomed

New York-born Candice Miller co-founded the lifestyle website Mama and Tata, a resource for mothers, with her sister Jenna Crespi. According to the website, and described by Jenna, Candice worked in a charitable and educational role at the Dwight School for more than five years. In Jenna’s words, Candice is a “mom, a creative planner, who always puts her kids first.”

Candice and Brandon were neighbors and grew up as close friends in the Hamptons. In an Over the Moon blog interview, she said:

“We didn’t start really dating until our mid-20s when the timing was right. We always loved on another, but it was actually so nice that we waited all of those years because we had no secrets, we knew everything about each other.”

Brandon proposed to her after they dated for a year. Candice Miller said:

"We both knew immediately that this was forever."

They had a Fall wedding at the Metropolitan Club as the former described the location as the “quintessential New York City venue”. She said:

"All of our friends were having destination weddings, so we decided that Fall in New York City was perfect!"

Candice Miller, the mother of two, also co-founded Black Iris, a new clothing line. In an interview with Mini Magazine, she spoke about her inspiration behind the fashion brand:

"Frankly, the majority of my wardrobe is vintage dresses that I altered to look more modern and are unable to be replicated. I realized then that there was a demand for the old fashioned vibe, with a twist of modern sensibility."

She added:

"I had three very bright, talented, close female friends, all previously in the fashion industry in some capacity, whom I trusted, and asked if they were interested in partnering in this new venture. Luckily, they all wanted to get back into the work force with more flexibility, being that we were all mothers and needed to work around our school pick-up and drop-off schedules. Each of us had a different skill set and as a team, we were a force."

Following the speculations about Brandon's alleged death, Candice Miller went private on social media.
