Several people on social media have been mourning the death of San Antonio-based musician Chris Saucedo. As per several Facebook posts, Chris Saucedo, the lead singer of the Chris Saucedo band, died on Monday, December 16, 2024.
The exact age and other information about the singer is unknown. However, the tributes from those who knew Saucedo suggest the musician might have committed suicide.
Saucedo was seemingly a well-known musical figure in San Antonio. Several people, including his friends, acquaintances, and fans, mourned his death. They left heartfelt messages about the singer and their memories about him. Brooster's Backyard Icehouse, a beer joint in San Antonio where Saucedo seemingly performed, recognized the singer's talent, writing:
"He was a shining light in the country music world and a kind soul who touched the hearts of many."
Jeanette Lira, who shared a memory about Saucedo performing at her wedding and divorce, hinted that the late singer was likely going through a dark time. Lira urged others who might be dealing with similar pain to seek help.
Trina Guevara on Facebook remembered being friends with Chris Saucedo for nearly 17 years. She expressed having a hard time processing the news of his death. The two were supposedly in touch even a few weeks ago, during which Trina claimed Saucedo shared his musical plans for 2025.
Trisdon Fuentes, a musician who had the opportunity to perform alongside Saucedo at the NIOSA festival earlier in 2024, remembered the late singer as kind and welcoming.
Roxanne Alcoser remembered Saucedo reaching out to her and offering to perform at her Benefit after her cancer diagnosis.
Cynthia Calderon Biela, another one of Saucedo's acquaintances, was seemingly heartbroken over his death.
"I can’t believe you are gone. I’m still waiting for someone to say it was a mistake. I hope you find the peace you were searching for."
Though Chris Saucedo's age is not known, from his friend Ted Pena's tribute, it appears he was over 45.
