Harry Sisson predicted an overwhelming majority for Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in the 2024 US elections
In an interview on the channel Scripps News ahead of the election results on November 5, Gen Z activist Harry Sisson had predicted an "overwhelming majority" win for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. Speaking about Gen Z's impact on the US elections, Sisson noted:
"I predict along with many other people that Gen Z will turn out in the highest rate in history. Now, of course, there are more Gen Z voters than ever. But these folks are not going to sit don't the sidelines."
Sisson also considered "the economy, affordability, and housing" important factors for Gen Z votes alongside "climate change, reproductive rights and health care." He also addressed the war in Gaza and how it has impacted young voters in the United States.
"It's tragic what's happening in the Middle East. The loss of life on both sides is awful. But I think that a lot of people have come to the view that not voting at all or not voting for Kamala Harris only leads to worse outcomes for the Middle East," he said.
"Of course, there are going to be young people who still say 'It's a dealbreaker for me, I can't do it.' I think a lot of the people who initially were sitting on the sidelines have come around to vote for Kamala Harris and will be doing so today."
According to CNN, Donald Trump has officially become the 47th President of the United States. The Republican has come to power for the second time after serving as President between 2016 and 2020 when Joe Biden defeated him.
