John Torode shared an Instagram post on Wednesday, December 4, to express his feelings regarding the ongoing investigation against Gregg Wallace - his longtime co-host at BBC's Masterchef UK.

In his post, Torode revealed that he had been overseas filming for Masterchef and had been preoccupied to keep track of things happening back in the UK. The presenter added:

"The thought of anyone who has appeared on our show not having a brilliant experience is awful to hear, and I have found the recent press reports truly upsetting."

John continued to mention that he couldn't make any further comments on the matter, as an investigation was still underway. However, the chef did clarify that he loved his job and would continue to be a part of the show.

John Torode has been married to Lisa Faulkner since 2019. Both Torode and Faulker were previously married to other people before they met on the sets of Celebrity Masterchef.

"When someone messes up a sauce, the way they look at each other! And if a contestant is slow getting their plates out, they both twitch in exactly the same way. I honestly think they are one of the great TV couples."

Faulkner continued:

"They look at each other and their thoughts are synchronised. I'm not even sure we have that. Hopefully we have something else."

John reassured his wife of his feelings during the interview by telling her: "For a start, I fancy you more."
