Keith Lee, a food critic and TikToker, recently opened up about his wife's reaction when Taraji P. Henson made an attempt to flirt with him at the BET Awards 2024. Lee also addressed the now-viral BET Awards incident involving Henson in detail on TikTok.

Henson was hosting the event on Sunday, June 30, 2024, when she mistook YouTuber Jordan Howlett for Keith, and the latter's wife was seemingly uncomfortable as Taraji flirted with him.

Addressing the same, he said-

“A picture of my wife has been going around and it was a small part caught from an entire moment, to make it seem like she had an attitude with Taraji. My wife and myself understand the flirting that Taraji was doing was fully improv and fully joe. It was a hard situation for all of us to be in. We fully understand she made it up on the fly.”

Keith is married to Ronni Lee, a fellow content creator, and she frequently shows up in Keith's social media posts and videos.

Distractify reported that Ronni and Keith had been dating for a while, and they got engaged in 2020. Ronni and Keith have been together since at least 2016, as Keith revealed in his surprise vlog for her 27th birthday in 2023. He first met Ronni when she was 19 years old.

Even though Keith Lee hasn't discussed their wedding in detail, he acknowledged that Ronni was the inspiration for his decision to start his career as a cooking and food critic.

Additionally, in a May 2023 article for Today, Keith disclosed that he started posting videos on TikTok during the Covid-19 quarantine when Ronni was expecting.

Eventually, other food influencers like People Vs. Food started contacting Keith about working together, and Keith claimed Ronni was the one who suggested he start reviewing food on his platform.

Now, following the incident at the BET Awards, Keith Lee took to the platform to talk about the entire incident. He said-

“First and foremost, I want to start by saying I am not upset at Taraji Pinson by any treasured imagination. And not only that, in my opinion, she smoked it last night. I don't think for one second Taraji had any ill will or any ill intentions behind the situation. The situation happened the way it did. It is what it is.”

He further said-

“I made a video last night where I had the rose that was given to me in my hand and I let it fall on the floor. The reason I did this had nothing to do with Taraji Pinson. The reason I dropped it on the floor is that I wholeheartedly believe that wasn't my rose, that wasn't my rose, that wasn't my moment. It was given to me, but it wasn't mine.”

He also clarified that his wife's video has been making the rounds which shows a glimpse of the whole event, giving the impression that she was not having a good time with Taraji.

He also said that the scenario became even more challenging as he suffers from social anxiety.

During the event, Henson moved to the front of the audience where Keith and his wife, Ronnie Lee, were seated. Henson then went over to Jordan Howlett, a TikToker, and mistook him for Keith.

Taraji later admitted to her mistake and expressed her regret to Howlett and Lee. Nevertheless, Ronni, Keith Lee's wife, remained silent after the incident.
