Actress Lisa Kudrow, famous for her role as Pheobe Buffay in the hit sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S, will be celebrating her 30th marriage anniversary with French advertising executive Michael Stern. The couple is known to maintain a private life, away from the limelight.
According to RadarOnline, Lisa Kudrow talked about her married life on The Drew Barrymore Show. Kudrow expressed that after spending 30 years together, their marriage has evolved from a romance to an "intimate relationship." The actress said,
"This is 2025, it'll be 30 years. It's not a romance. It's even more than a family member. It's the most intimate relationship you can have. It's different from kids but by 30 years...I'm not going anywhere! No way! That's how I feel about it."

As per The Daily Mail, Lisa Kudrow first met her husband in the 1980s. Michael Stern had just moved to the US from France with hopes of entering the world of advertising. Lisa was smitten by the man but felt conflicted at the same time since he was dating her roommate.
"I was living with [a] French girl, and he had just moved here, and they were dating when we first met. But I'm freakishly polite, so I saw him and went, 'Well, he's the perfect man, and it's all ruined because now they're together, and I can't (make a play for him),' " she said.
Lisa Kudrow decided to ignore her feelings, however, after two and a half months, her roommate and Stern broke up and lost contact. In the meantime, the actress got into a brief fling with host Conan O'Brien. They broke up soon after, deciding they were better off as friends.
Kudrow met Stern unexpectedly six years later her previous roommate's birthday party. With both of them single at the time, the couple dated while Kudrow filmed the first season of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. They eventually got married on May 27, 1995, a week after the crew wrapped up filming.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S, a cultural phenomenon, had been a turning point for all the actors. Lisa Kudrow was pregnant with her and Stern's first child while filming the show as well. In an interview with People the actress shared that when the six actors huddled backstage before filming during her pregnancy, the actors included her baby by saying "love you" to him. She reminisced,
"The six of us would do a huddle backstage and just say, 'All right, have a good show, love you love you love you love you,' And when I was pregnant, then they would say, 'Have a great show, love you love you — love you, little Julian!' 'Cause we knew it was a boy, and that was his name."
In F.R.I.E.N.D.S: The Reunion, which premiered on May 27, 2021, on HBO Max, the actress shared that she and her husband watched parts of season 4 together. She revealed that Stern enjoyed it more than she did because she usually doesn't enjoy watching herself onscreen.
