A petition was created on July 1, 2024, to remove Jackson County School District’s Assistant Superintendent Monty Noblitt from his position. After 13-year-old Aubreigh’s tragic passing, her mother Heather Wyatt said she took her own life following constant bullying by some girls in her school. Although Heather did not directly take the girls’ names, other users shared their personal information and photos online and sought justice for Aubreigh.

Heather Wyatt told her followers she did not want anyone to receive hate. She later shifted the focus of her online campaign to spreading mental health awareness regarding suicidal ideation.

However, in early July, Heather was sued by the parents of the girls who got doxxed online. They accused her of putting out defamatory posts on social media claiming the false accusations were harming their daughters.

Following the lawsuit, Heather was ordered by a Jackson County judge to have her social media accounts temporarily removed. The lawsuit led her followers to start several petitions, one of which is demanding Monty Noblitt's ousting.

Monty Noblitt served at the Bay St. Louis-Waveland School District for five years, before joining the Jackson County School District as an Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction. He was also the principal at the Bay-Waveland Middle School for the 2022 to 2023 school year. Monty Noblitt has 9 years of experience in administrative roles.

He graduated from Vancleave High School in 1989. Monty later obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education degree at the University of Southern Mississippi. Monty also has a Juris Doctor from the Mississippi College of Law.

Monty Noblitt's daughter has been accused of being the late Aubreigh Wyatt's main bully. Makya Thackston started a petition on change.org on July 1, 2024, seeking Noblitt's removal from Jackson County School District.

The petition claimed Monty was aware of his daughter's actions that led to Aubreigh's suicide, adding:

"...instead of taking action he ignored the problem and let it continue this man needs to have his power taken away!"

The petition received 1,99,858 signatures out of its 2,00,000 goal so far.

The girls’ parents filed the lawsuit against Heather Wyatt through attorneys Tim Holleman and Patrick Guild. They accused Aubreigh’s mother of malicious slander, negligence, and defamation. They argued the 13-year-old’s death was triggered by other factors that her family overlooked. The filing alleged Aubreigh had previously attempted suicide but did not receive proper medical attention.

The complaint stated:

"As a direct and proximate cause of the false, defamatory, and slanderous social media posts of the defendant, Heather Wyatt, the plaintiffs' minor children have been receiving insulting and revolting messages from around the world attacking them, calling them vulgar names, s**ualizing them."

Heather Wyatt's followers had shared screenshots of social media posts from the girl who allegedly bullied Aubreigh. One such post by Monty Noblitt was also shared online, where the father of two wrote:

"A lie does not become the truth because you repeat it. However, if you are searching for the truth, a mirror is a good place to start!"

Netizens claimed Monty and the other parents tried to silence Heather's reports made after Aubreigh's death to protect his own daughter.
