Exploring the allegations that Annie Altman made against brother Sam Altman and family
On Monday, Annie filed a suit against Sam Altman in the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Missouri. According to her, Sam had been abusing her for over a decade, and it allegedly began at their family residence in Clayton, Missouri. Annie further claimed that she was only 3 at the time, while Sam was 12 years old.
As per CNBC, the lawsuit further sought a trial by jury and damages in excess of $75,000. According to Annie, the abuse allegedly included oral s*x and then penetration multiple times a week. The complainant then claimed that the alleged constant abuse led her to develop PTSD as well as physical injuries. On January 7, CNBC reported that attorney Ryan Mahoney would represent Annie.
While Annie had made severe allegations against her family, including Sam, the CEO denied them. On January 7, he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and issued a statement. According to the statement, they loved Annie and were always concerned about her well-being. It continued:
"We’ve chosen not to respond publicly, out of respect for her privacy and our own. However, she has now taken legal action against Sam, and we feel we have no choice but to address this."
The statement further claimed that Annie had been getting monetary support from them every month. According to Sam and his family, his sister made false claims allegedly to demand more money from them.
The statement was signed by Sam Altman, his mother Connie, and his brothers Max and Jack.
Additional updates on the matter involving the tech CEO, his family, and his sister are awaited.
