Yseult Marie Onguenet left 2024 Paris Olympics viewers stunned with her closing ceremony performance. The French artist sang Frank Siantra’s My Way at the Stade de France stadium. She graced the stage with a large circular hat, diamond heart-shaped earrings, and a Dior Haut Couture black outfit.

My Way was performed at the closing ceremony of the Olympics to showcase the bond between France and the United States, as the latter will be hosting the next Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028. The song, sung by Sinatra, was also inspired by the 1967 French track Comme d'habitude, which was performed by French artist Claude Francois.

Yseult’s performance of My Way captivated viewers from the get-go. She started off her Olympics performance with her soft voice and then impressed listeners with her extensive vocal range. Her outfit, which was the epitome of French haute couture, also left viewers in awe.

For those uninitiated, the 29-year-old rose to fame after appearing in the Nouvelle Star singing competition television show in 2013. Although she lost the competition, she went on to sign with Polydor Records and debuted with her single La Vague.

She is now the CEO of her own record label, I Have No F**king Idea, as well.

Speaking about what drives her, she revealed in an interview with Vogue in 2021:

“I want to share a message of love, inclusivity and diversity. I’m fighting a lot in the music industry, so it’s important for me to show my strength.”

Yseult has been open about the mental health struggles that she has faced as a Black plus-sized woman, but she has also revealed that she does her best to “embrace that duality.” Speaking about her personal style, she also shared with the magazine:

“I play with my duality, though—sometimes I like myself and other times I don’t as much, but it’s okay and I’m happy with that. When it comes to clothes, though, I enjoy working with my shape and showing off my curviness. I don't ever want to hide my body.”

She had amassed 290,000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing this article.
