YouTube streamer TaylorSwiftHockeyBro whose real name is Kevin, has been accused of sending inappropriate messages to minors. An X thread posted by @cloverbloom_ on July 16, 2024, claimed Kevin had sent s*xually suggestive messages to two 13-year-old Taylor Swift fans who added him on Snapchat.
The OP (original poster) added that Kevin sent his half-naked photos to the underage girls and also asked one of them to go to Chicago to sleep with him. Kevin, aka TaylorSwiftHockeyBro, created his YouTube channel in June 2022 and began posting in February 2023.
He gained recognition within the fandom by posting reactions and commentaries on the ‘Bad Blood’ crooner’s songs, albums, and music videos. Kevin has over 440 videos on the platform and has acquired around 223K subscribers so far. He also has a massive following of nearly 24K on Instagram.
Kevin was also praised by Swifties for streaming the Eras Tour concerts, gaining appreciation from fans who could not attend Taylor’s shows in person.
However, several Swifties were upset after they came across the thread about him inappropriately messaging two minors on Snapchat and condemned the YouTuber's behavior. The X thread was shared on the Reddit community r/SwiftlyNeutral, where many claimed they always got strange vibes from the content creator.
Some Swifties said they used to get creeped out whenever Kevin took off his shirt during Taylor's performance on Vigilante Sh*t.
Taylor Swift's fans called out Kevin under his latest YouTube video as well.
Accusations against TaylorSwiftHockeyBro and his alleged response
A X user @cloverbloom_ began their thread on exposing TaylorSwiftHockeyBro by addressing "unsafe men" who joined the Swifties' community. They added:
"I know a lot of people love his streams and appreciate the time he spends bringing each eras tour to all of us - but I’m choosing to believe the young girls that have come forward with frankly disgusting information of what he’s said and sent to them"
The X user said that two 13-year-old Taylor Swift fans added Kevin, their favorite streamer, on Snapchat in early June, and he immediately added them back and began sending messages to them. One of the girls in question, Jordan Faber on X, claimed Kevin called her and her friend "pretty and cute."
Jordan said Kevin was sending them "EXTREMELY inappropriate" snaps after the young girls sent him a photo of them wearing Hello Kitty sweatpants. Kevin allegedly compared the teens to Hannah Grace's college romance, Icebreaker:
"He also said that we were "just like the book icebreaker" and just because he had a girlfriend didn't mean we couldn't talk"
@cloverbloom_ said following the emergence of these allegations, TaylorSwiftHockeyBro deleted his X account. However, it appeared that many were not aware of the situation and thus, he continued to maintain his platform on YouTube. The OP said:
"I do not know this man. I’ve never DMed him. But I couldn’t stay silent after seeing the things he sent to actual children. There is n0 excuse for what he’s done. These girls should have never received messages like that and I won’t sit back and let harm happen without speaking up"
@cloverbloom_ further shared screenshots of one underage fan defending Kevin on TikTok. Chloe, the teen in question, took to TikTok comments and described Kevin as the sweetest person she had ever met, claiming:
"...he has screenshots of girls sending him weird things and harassing him."
Chloe claimed Kevin did engage in flirtations with the girls and send them suggestive messages, but only because the girls lied to him about their age and told him they were 20.
An alleged response from TaylorSwiftHockeyBro was shared on Reddit, where the YouTuber supposedly said:
"hey everyone, i want to say a month ago a girl messaged me for snap chat photos. despite stalking and harrassing me as well as violating terms of service (not being able to make new accounts) she has gotten misinformation to spread. i do take responsibility for needing to vet the people i talk to and ask for photos like this more in the future. if anyone wants to talk to me more about this let me know."
However, the Reddit user who quoted Kevin's supposed response, said the authenticity of his statement is uncertain since his X account is either deleted or suspended.
