A man identified as a Nigerian gospel singer, Timileyin Ajayi, was caught in Abuja on Sunday, January 12, 2025, for allegedly having his girlfriend's severed head in a nylon bag. According to reports by Punch Online, published on January 13, 2025, the suspect was primarily caught by a few churchgoers in Ozoro.

The church's Bible Study Teacher and General Secretary, Caleb Umaru, told Punch Online:
"It was almost the end of service around 11am during the final pledge and prayers. A church member, Bro Victor, opened his eyes during prayers and saw someone passing by the river close to the church, carrying a bag and his movement was suspicious. That drew his attention. He called the attention of another brother, Brother Amos."
Comrade Abwami Nuhuson Daniel, Secretary of Orozo Community, further confirmed the incident surrounding Timileyin Ajayi. It had been reported that Timileyin was apparently seen carrying the black bag with flies on it, as per IntelRegion.
A video has made it to social media in which the suspect could be seen questioned by law enforcement, after which he allegedly admitted to killing her, as reported by IntelRegion. The suspect further claimed that he had been dating the victim for about a year, and they got into a heated argument lately. He also apparently claimed that the rest of the victim's body was at his residence.
Timileyin Ajayi is a content creator, as per reports by LindaIkejisBlog, and reportedly is known for posting a lot of motivational videos and content about staying fit. Timileyin also has a YouTube channel, where he has posted a number of songs like I'm In Love, The Living God, Faithful God, God Of All The Earth, and All The Praise.
The case is currently being investigated, and the suspect has not been prosecuted yet.
Authorities reportedly found the victim's body at Timileyin Ajayi's residence after he was apprehended
According to the reports by Tell, the victim, identified as Salome Adaidu, was allegedly killed for Yahoo rituals. Authorities apparently recovered her remains at the suspect's house, and it was bleeding as well. The outlet also reported that Timileyin Ajayi would be prosecuted once the investigation was over.
According to multiple eyewitnesses, Timileyin was caught primarily because of his odd behavior that seemed suspicious to others. While the suspect claimed that he was having a fight with the victim, no motive has officially been revealed, as per a report by Tell, published on Monday, January 13, 2025.
After a preliminary investigation, authorities have claimed that the horrifying incident and ritual practices could be related. One resident spoke about the incident, as per the outlet. According to the resident:
