TikTok sensation Brent Peterson went viral after President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential election. For those uninitiated, Peterson garnered attention in 2022 after creating hilarious videos claiming that he was running for the Oval Office. Netizens have since taken to the internet to jokingly say that he should replace Biden in the elections.

In a letter posted on X on July 22, 2024, US President Joe Biden shared that it would be in his party’s and the country’s interest that he focuses "solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.” He endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and said, “Harris for President.”

Since then, TikTok sensation Brent Peterson has been trending on X. Netizens thoroughly enjoy his low-quality videos where he asks citizens to vote for him for the President of the United States.

X is now flooded with Peterson’s followers jokingly saying that he should stand for the 2024 presidential race alongside the phrase 'Brent Peterson for President.' Some tweets read:

Brent Peterson, who first appeared on TikTok in August 2022, has amassed over a million followers on the platform. In one of his many videos, he quipped:

“Nah, f, the Republicans, the Democrats, vote for me for President of the United States. I’m Brent Peterson.”

The influencer frequently adds a clip of himself asking followers to vote for him for President alongside other content. Usually, his videos are accompanied by several TikTok filters and other edits.

Peterson has amassed over 230,000 followers on Instagram. His bio on the social media site reads, “Vote for me President of the United States” and “guitar and drums.”

It is worth noting that his content is purely satirical. In reality, the influencer has never stood for the presidential race.


Kamala Harris has meanwhile been gathering several endorsements, including one from California Governor Gavin Newsom. ActBlue, a Democratic fundraiser group, also reported that the Vice President received $27.5 million within hours of Biden’s announcement to withdraw from the 2024 Presidential elections.
