Rapper turned sports commentator Cam'Ron walked off the set of his podcast It Is What It Is after co-host Treasure Wilson mentioned Dwayne Wade's potential nail care brand.

Last week during his appearance on CBS Mornings, the former Miami Heat player revealed his plans to jump into the nail grooming business after Jerica Duncan questioned him about the impetus behind the "pop of color." He said:

"Expression... I'm creative; I'm expressive. And there's so many ways to do that. (I'm) actually thinking about jumping into the nail-line… world. Like, I’ve been in it so long. And I’m like, You know what, it could be a good time, but I got some cool ideas, and I’m exploring."

During the latest episode of It Is What It Is, Wilson broaches the subject before concluding the episode. However, Cam'Ron immediately removes his mic, grabs his bag, and leaves, as Wilson and co-host Mase laugh.

While Dwayne Wade's painted nails continue to receive mixed reactions, Cam's response was met with criticism, with many calling him hypocritical. Others noted he was being "sensitive and delicate." Here are some comments seen under @theshaderoom's post on Instagram:

Some remarked that there was no need for Cam'Ron to be offended because Wade's business venture does not affect anyone. Others pointed out that it was a way for the former basketball player to bond with his daughter. Here are some comments seen under @nojumper's post on Instagram:

Dwayne Wade's inspiration behind potential nail paint line in light of Cam'Ron's walk-off

During his conversation with Jerica Duncan on CBS Mornings, Wade revealed painting his nails was a way for him to connect with his 6-year-old daughter Kaavia.

"One of my favorite things to do when it comes to this is actually sitting down with my daughter and getting my nails painted and painting hers. That’s the time that we get to connect. Me doing something that she loves and also that I love."

Dwayne also added that he gives his daughter manicures and pedicures. Meanwhile, Cam'Ron is not the only one to criticize the former Miami Heat star for having painted nails.

During his April 2024 appearance on The Wine Down podcast, Wade revealed he initially just kept his nails well groomed but was inspired by Michael Jordan's clear nail polish to paint his nails, adding:

"At first, I thought I was like, I can’t get no polish on my nails; I just got to do (a) buff because I come from a community where if you do anything outside of the masculine norm, you’re gay."

Wade explained that he was trying to stay away from rumors starting about him, and thus he initially went with clear polish. However, he revealed that over time he began adding color, even showing his (then) painted nails to the host.

The athlete's interview was met with criticism, some even calling him "embarassing." However, the negative comments were promptly shot down.

While Wade did not react to Cam'Ron walking out, he commented, "It's the "oh goodness" for me (laughing emoji)" under an IG post about the It Is What It Is episode. He was referring to Mase's response to his co-host walking out.
