Fans trend Treat Doyoung Better on Twitter as they notice consistent errors and misprinting on the NCT member's album covers
The recent issue surfaced as fans pointed out that Doyoung's version of NCT 127's Fact Check SMini album was misprinted and that a different member's image was featured on the same. While fans criticized the agency and slammed it for its carelessness, they were frustrated when they realized that this had become a recurrent situation.
The first issue arose when the idol's name was excluded from the physical copy of the group's debut album, Limitless. Following this issue that occurred in 2017, their fourth studio album, 2 Baddies, which released in 2022, also sparked controversy. The back of the album featured all the members of the group but excluded Doyoung, which left fans upset and angered.
In 2023 alone, four misprinting and mismanagement issues concerning the idol were pointed out by fans. In May, during his debut into NCT's fresh sub-unit, NCT DOJAEJUNG, with the mini-album, Perfume, his version of the SMini album was printed incorrectly in multiple copies. For the promotions of the same, the box version of the idol's album copy featured another member's name printed on the side.
In September, before NCT 127 marked its comeback with Fact Check, NCT Japan Official released a Google form to ask fans questions related to the album. One of the questions that was meant to include all the members as options did not feature Doyoung's name. With the list of concerning issues and continuous misprinting of the idol on albums, the recent error with respect to the Fact Check SMini album further fueled fans' anger.
In order to make the agency rectify its mistake and hold it accountable for its actions, fans have been trending Treat Doyoung Better on social media and mass-reporting the issue via mail and Kwangya 119. The agency has not responded to the ongoing situation as of this writing.
