Mel Gibson was one of the many celebrities attending the America’s Future Champions For America Celebration Gala at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. While retired US Army Lieutenant General Michael Flynn hosted the event, others like Kid Rock were there.

Photos and clips from the event have further been going viral across the internet. These included photos of Gibson with Flynn and Kid Rock as well as videos of Gibson giving a speech on the occasion.

Mel Gibson has previously bashed Kamala Harris while extending support to Donald Trump

As per Variety, the 68-year-old actor and filmmaker had never been that vocal about his political opinions. He, however, was seen saluting Trump near a UFC match in 2021.

Mel Gibson didn't stop just at extending support to Trump but he also ended up bashing Vice President Kamala Harris. In October 2024, TMZ published a video of an event, where Gibson could be heard talking about Harris.

The conversation began when Mel was approached by a cameraman whom he addressed and said that it was obvious who he wanted to see as the future President of the US. To this, the cameraman responded by guessing Donald Trump's name and Mel Gibson agreed too.

The actor then said:

"I think that’s a pretty good guess. I know what it’ll be like if we let her in. And that ain’t good. Miserable track record. No policies to speak of. She’s got the IQ of a fence post."

Not just Gibson, even Trump had shown love towards the actor. Earlier this year, he shared a post on Truth Social, where he described the actor to be a "great" one.

As for the latest event, Mel Gibson gave a speech there, in which he mentioned that Trump had huge work to do for the country, since "so much damage was done." Trump is expected to have his inauguration ceremony next month.
