Keith Lee shares his reaction to the mix-up that happened at the BET Awards 2024

Keith Lee has been in the news after his recent BET Awards fiasco with Taraji P. Henson.

During the BET Awards on Sunday, June 30, Taraji P. Henson offered flowers to people as part of a comedy skit, starting with Halle Bailey. She then walked towards TikTok star Jordan Howlett and started saying:

"Mr. Keith Lee, I know what you're thinking right now, this is about a 10.9 outta 10?"

However, Howlett immediately reacted by pointing towards Keith and Taraji realized her mistake, giving a funny reaction to the camera. She responded by saying that she was "caught up" in her monologue and while her assistant gave a flower to Keith, she said:

"Give him his flower."

Keith later shared a video on TikTok, where he dropped the flower to the ground and wrote:

"Our name will be known in every room it's supposed to be, when it's supposed to be, how it supposed, with no confusion. God is Amazing."

While the clip was later deleted, Keith Lee also posted another video on the platform on July 1, saying he was "not upset" at Taraji P. Henson. He even clarified the reason behind throwing the rose, saying that he did it since the flower did not belong to him.

Keith Lee still expressed his criticism towards the producers, saying that it was their mistake that the mixup happened. He revealed that he ended up sitting in another place with his wife Ronnie Lee. He praised Taraji by saying:

"I'm personally a fan of Taraji, I've been for years, and I always will be. I love to see her get the recognition that she deserves."
