The same day, Trump took to X and accused President Biden and Vice President Harris of neglecting American citizens in various crises, including their withdrawal from Afghanistan, immigration issues at the southern border, and natural disasters in the Southern states.
"Biden and Harris abandoned Americans in Afghanistan. They sacrificed Americans to an Open Border, and now, they have left Americans to drown in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and elsewhere in the South. The claim in question stems from Americans in North Carolina suffering from the impacts of a natural disaster following Hurricane Helene. As per BBC, the hurricane brought heavy rainfall, strong winds, and flooding to various parts of the southeastern United States, including North Carolina. The hurricane has claimed at least 116 lives as of the time of writing.
