Christine Quinn left Selling Sunset and The Oppenheim Group after season 5. Her tiff with Chrishell Stause was the major plot line since the first season. Since her exit, fans wondered who would fill in her shoes in terms of drama in season 6. They are now convinced new cast members Nicole Young is the new Christine of the latest installment.
Viewers felt that Nicole’s dramatic and bullying behavior gave the Christine vibe.
In Selling Sunset season 6, Nicole came in strong. She appeared as an experienced real estate agent in The Oppenheim Group but also someone who is arrogant and unkind.
“Nicole is awful”: Twitter users criticized Nicole Young from season 6
Since episode 1 of Selling Sunset season 6, Nicole Young expressed her annoyance towards Chrishell Stause for an incident that happened three years ago.
Throughout the season, she kept bringing it up and started a war with the actress. As their fight turned ugly, the dynamic in the group also changed. Netizens were not impressed with Nicole’s behavior in season 6 and thus compared her with Christine Quinn.
Some fans believed Nicole was trying too hard to create drama to replace Christine. Both the ladies’ problems were related to Chrishell.
In season 6 of Selling Sunset, Nicole was upset with the OG cast member because three years ago, Jason Oppenheim put Chrishell with her for a listing. When the property was sold, Chrishell too got the credit, but the commission went to Jason and Nicole.
According to the newcomer, Chrishell got the listing because Jason had a crush on her. When the actress got to know the truth, she locked horns with Nicole and told her that she was married at the time and there was nothing between her and Jason.
The feud escalated during the girls’ trip to Palm Springs where Chrishell Stause accused Nicole of using drugs. To prove her innocence, she took a drug test the following day and mentioned suing the actress if she kept throwing shade at her.
However, no legal actions were taken and the season ended with the two not being friends or cordial with each other. Due to Nicole’s bullying and dragging behavior, fans claimed she was the new Christine.
Why did Christine Quinn leave Selling Sunset?
Christine Quinn was one of the OG cast members of Selling Sunset and was part of The Oppenheim Group before Chrishell Stause.
She was one of the oldest and most important employees in Jason and Brett Oppenheim’s company. But her bullying behavior and hatred towards Chrishell created a toxic environment in the office, as shown in season 5. None of the co-workers were friends with her, except for Davina Potratz and Chelsea Lazkani.
Apart from Chrishell, the self-described villain of the show locked horns with season 5 newcomer Emma Hernan. The latter informed towards the end of the previous installment that Christine tried to buy her clients, which made Jason come to the conclusion to fire her. During the reunion episode, Jason mentioned that Christine had no place in his office.
After a few days, Christine announced her exit from the company and Selling Sunset as she started her own real estate firm with her millionaire husband. Fans were disappointed as she left the Netflix show.
Meanwhile, Selling Sunset season 6 misses Christine, but other ladies too have brought in a whole lot of drama. Watch all 11 episodes on Netflix.
