The Air Jordan 3 sneaker model is one of the most popular and influential models from the Air Jordan sneaker lineage. The shoe was specially designed for Michael Jordan and immediately caused a stir in the sneaker industry because of its unique elephant print covering.
With its looks and technology, the shoe established a high bar for the sneaker and fashion worlds at the time of its debut. The beloved sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield, who created the majority of the Jordan models from the AJ3 to AJ15, designed it.
The sneaker model brought heavy details as it carried the Nike Air logo on the heel, a visible air unit, and most importantly, a gray elephant hide-like pattern. The model quickly gained fame as it introduced brand new features to the Jordan designs, including the Jumpman logo and visible air unit. The official Nike site introduces the sneaker model:
"What is now one of the sneaker world's most notable silhouettes was brought to life with an architect's keen eye. Tinker Hatfield, the auspicious name behind much of the Air Jordan franchise, was the visionary behind this classic. At the request of MJ, Hatfield developed the now iconic elephant print."
The latest Air Jordan 3 "Navy Cemment" comes in a "White/Midnight Navy/Cement Grey /Black" color scheme. The base of the shoe is clad in a white hue, which follows an almost monochromatic scheme. A contrasting shade of midnight navy is added to the midsoles, lace eyelets, and tongue branding.
The base of the sneakers is kept white and is constructed out of perforated details such as toe boxes, and ankle collars, which are overlaid with smooth white leather.
An exact color placement for the sneaker model hasn't been revealed by Nike yet; however, according to the media outlets Sole Retriever and House of Heat, the colorway will be kept simple and follow the traditional color scheme.
An official release date for the Air Jordan 3 "Navy Cement" sneakers hasn't been announced by the Swoosh label yet; however, according to multiple media sources, the shoe will be released in spring 2024 at a retail price of $200.
