Nike Inc. and Devin Booker took the first step towards their signature line earlier this year with the debut of the Nike Book 1 signature shoe. Following a slew of colorways in recent weeks, the Swoosh is getting ready to introduce another iteration, "Mirage Ashen Slate."
This rendition of the stated model will be entirely covered in an Ashen Slate/Multi-Color-Light Carbon-Football Grey-Summit White-Safety Orange color palette. The details and images of this shoe were recently shared by a sneaker collector, @snkr_flower, via their Instagram page.
The newly surfaced Devin Booker x Nike Book 1 “Mirage Ashen Slate” variant is anticipated to make its debut sometime during February 2024, as per initial reports. These shoes will be sold by Nike’s online as well as offline platforms, alongside its affiliated sellers. The retail price of these shoes is $150 a pair, and they are only available in men's sizes.
Nike Book 1 “Mirage Ashen Slate” shoes are accentuated with Safety Orange hues all over
Devin Booker, originally the brightest star for the Phoenix Suns and now one of Nike's newest trademark athletes, has made an effortless shift from lighting up the court of the NBA to creating headlines in the world of sneakers. Throughout his career in the NBA, it has been clear that Booker has had a preference for Kobe footwear.
However, the tables are about to turn as Booker is getting ready to release his own sneaker, the Nike Book 1. Although only 500 pairs of the Nike Book 1 in the Clay Orange hue will be available for purchase when it is made available to the public in December, the Ashen Slate hue is expected to generate a lot of buzz in the world of basketball sneakers when it is made available to a wider audience in February 2024.
Mesh, ventilated nubuck, and velvety suede are the three distinct materials that come together to form this style, which was inspired by the Cool Grey Player Exclusive. The top layer of this Book 1 is dominated by a relaxing gray color, and the nubuck collar area, which is perforated, is accented with a darker tone of gray.
A splash of distinction is added by the use of safety orange accents, notably the "Book" logo that is placed on the tongue. This color is also used for the insole. The footwear has remembrances of Booker's life; a barcode on the inner side emphasizes crucial numbers, such as his jersey number along with the zip codes of Grand Rapids and Phoenix, and a tongue tag includes a reference to Booker's family's initials.
The heel tab, which is designed to seem like pages from a book, bears the number "96" and features Booker T. Washington's birth year. The rear side of the heel counter, which is embossed with "Chapter One," takes its cue from the spines of books and is a distinctive design element. This is a savvy design touch that connects the shoe's name with its overall appearance.
The shoe has a stylish, transparent semi-translucent outer sole unit, a white rubber midsole that is fitted with a 14mm Air Zoom component, Cushlon 2.0 foam, and a midfoot shank, and it is completed with a white rubber outer sole unit that is semi-translucent.
Keep an eye out for the new Nike Book 1 “Mirage Ashen Plate” colorway that will be accessible in the coming year.
