The sportswear label Nike introduced the Dunk sneaker model in 1985 as the veteran Peter Moore designed the beloved silhouette. The silhouette debuted as a part of the swoosh label's basketball shoe lineup.

The sneaker model was greatly appreciated by sneakerheads and enthusiasts as it made its entrance at the collegiate games. The silhouette quickly gained popularity, as it had a clean two-toned color scheme, each associated with the college team color.

After being debuted in basketball lineup, the shoe was experimented in skateboarding and lifestyle sub-labels.

The shoe holds a great cultural prominence in the sneaker world and comes. The swoosh label's site introduces the sneaker model as follows:

“From backboards to skateboards, the influence of the Nike Dunk is undeniable. Although introduced as a basketball shoe in 1985, its flat and grippy soles were perfect for a neglected sports community — skaters. Uncovering a subculture craving creativity as much as function, Dunk released decades of countless colorways.

The upper of the shoe comes constructed out of a mix of nylon and leather material.

The base of the shoe is clad in a serene light blue nylon and leather color, which can be seen affixed on the perforated toe boxes, middle panels, tongues and the heel tabs. The light blue leather base contrasts with the light grey leather overlays.

The light grey leather overlays are placed on the forefoot, lacing system, heel counters and ankle collars. The prominent profile swooshes on both the medial and lateral profile are covered in grey, for which the suit is followed by plain cotton laces and sock liners.

Branding details are added with the "Nike" lettering on the light blue tongue tags. The look is finished off with the addition of a two-sole unit featuring white midsoles and light grey rubber outsoles.

The entire design comes clad in soft tones of the upper, which fits in perfectly with breezy aesthetic. The pair is rumored to launch sometime during summer 2023 at a retail price of $125 via the e-commerce site of Nike, SNKRS app and select retailers.
