Nike, the Oregon-based sportswear giant, has continued to maintain a hot streak of their Dunk launches ever since 2023 started. For the latest makeover, they have collaborated with the American fashion label Cactus Plant Flea Market (CPFM). The label has now given its Dunk Low model a "Black" makeover to show a comfortable, dark aesthetic.

The latest makeover is kept heavy on the details. However, it maintains its timeless and classic look with a monochromatic color scheme, thus catching the eye of sophisticated sneakerheads. The Dunk Low x CPFM sneaker model will come clad in a black hue.

The Dunk Low is reported to be a sample pair and hasn't received an official release date or release information regarding its public release. According to the media outlet, Fullress, the pair is reported to be produced in only 10 to 20 units. However, the Swoosh label is yet to give a confirmation.

The Dunk sneaker model was designed by Nike's legendary sneaker designer and veteran Peter Moore. The now-popular sneaker model was launched by Nike in 1985 and was deeply associated with the collegiate shoe lineup.

After initially being designed as a basketball shoe, the sneaker model was later accepted by other Nike sub-labels, including lifestyle and skateboarding. Streetwear enthusiasts quickly accepted the shoe design due to its potential to be clad in various patterns and makeovers. The Swoosh label's official site introduces the sneaker model as follows:

"Created for the hardwood but taken to the streets, the '80s b-ball icon returns with perfectly shined overlays. With its iconic hoops design, the Nike Dunk Low channels '80s vintage back onto the street, while its padded, low-cut collar lets you take your game anywhere - in comfort."

The shoe quickly caught the eye due to its original BTTYS makeovers in two-toned makeovers, such as Obsidian, Panda, and Bred. However, the upcoming Dunk Low x Cactus Plant Flea Market (CPFM) "Black" sneakers let go of its basketball roots and opted for a unique makeover, making it hard for anyone to recognize the shoe's OG shape.

The upper of the Dunk Low model is constructed from suede material and features decorative, pyramidic stitching adorned upon the toe boxes and the profiles. The Dunk Low sneakers are part of a special project (SP) created as a part of the NikeLab.

The pyramid stitching scheme is added upon the toe boxes and mid panels, which gives a luxurious outlook. The shoe features toe mudguards, lacing overlays, black-hued plain cotton laces, and heel pull tabs. Unconventionally, the sneakers feature recycled grind rubber outsoles in a black hue with white speckles.

On the insides of the liner, the shoe features a bold "SAMPLE" writing, while the insoles of the sneakers are clad in a multi-colored psychedelic print.

The Swoosh label hasn't announced an official release date for the collaborative sneakers yet, and it is possible that the sneaker won't see a public release at all.
