On December 25, 2024, social media personality, Andrew Tate took to X to post a video of him working out alone in his house on Christmas. While Tate and his brother Tristian have recently come under scrutiny for failure to pay tax on £21m of revenue from their online businesses, netizens were quick to comment on his Christmas workout video.
Internet users commented on how Tate, who advocates the supremacy of men and advertises his perception of "what it means to be a man", was celebrating Christmas by himself.
Commenting on Andrew Tate's video, an X user tweeted:
"No wife. No kids. Just an empty, hollow life Priorities matter"
"Yeah, it’s actually quite sad. He thinks he has it all, but in reality, it’s just a bunch of nothingness," an X user commented.
"Why is he so alone? Is there family to be with?" another X user mentioned.
"No wife. No children to be seen. Just a lonely man doing lat raises alone while watching a fake fire on the TV. This does not look hard. It looks pathetic. And no amount of materialism changes that," an internet user stated.
"Grok, show me a video of the worst Christmas imaginable," another internet user said.
Moreover, internet users made remarks on the things Tate advocates and advised him to go out of his house on Christmas:
"It’s not that he refuses to stop… he refuses to start again. Big difference 🫡," an X user tweeted.
"And behold, he has become everything he once despised," a netizen commented.
"Bro, take a walk outside of your house. Why you always inside?" another netizen mentioned.
"This is not justice"- Andrew Tate comments on UK court's ruling over unpaid tax
According to a report by Reuters dated December 18, 2024, the British police can seize approximately 2.7 million pounds from Andrew Tate and his brother Tristian for unpaid tax. The Devon and Cornwall police took legal action against the Tate brothers and a third person at the Westminister Magistrates Court.
The court cited that the brothers hadn't paid any tax on the 21 million pounds of income they generated from their online endeavors between 2014 to 2022. The police asked for funds in Andrew and Tristian's seven accounts to be forfeited.
Judge Paul Goldspring mentioned being satisfied "on the balance of probabilities" that the brothers have engaged in deliberate and long-standing conduct to evade their tax/VAT liabilities in two jurisdictions. The judge said in a written ruling that the Tate brothers were liable to register with tax authorities as well as declare and pay tax on income in Romania and Britain where they have resided since 2017.
Commenting on the outcome of the legal action, Andrew Tate said in a statement:
"First, they labeled me a human trafficker, yet they couldn't find a single woman to stand against me. When that narrative crumbled, they turned to outright theft — freezing my accounts for over two years and now seizing everything they could. This is not justice, it's a coordinated attack on anyone who dares to challenge the system."
According to BBC's report dated December 18, 2024, in June 2023, Andrew Tate was charged with human trafficking, forming a criminal gang, and r*pe by Romanian prosecutors.
Additionally, he has been banned from YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok after being accused of posting misogynistic comments and hate speech on the platforms.
