Popcaan, a Jamaican superstar who blurs the lines between reggae and modern R&B, makes his mark with music that inspires good deeds without compromising dancehall's ability to move. He keeps raising the bar for the music he adores, whether it's through his work with Pusha T, Drake, or AlunaGeorge.
Dancehall superstar Popcaan has formally announced his "Great Is He" European tour, which will begin on Saturday, May 6, in Paris' Salle Pleyel. The tour, which is named after Popcaan's most recent album, “Great Is He,” will see him perform songs from it in Dublin, Glasgow, Bristol, Tilburg, Brussels, Zurich, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Berlin, Frankfurt, and Madrid, among other cities.
These appearances guarantee that the “Unruly Boss” will be able to perform at his peak for his fans in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, and France.
The follow-up to Popcaan's 2020 album Fixtape, “Great Is He,” debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. The 17-track album, which is Popcaan's fifth entry on Billboard's weekly Reggae Albums chart, sold 3,200 units in its first week of availability in the US.
A few big names appeared on the album, including Afrobeats superstar "Burna Boy on Aboboyaa" and OVO label head Drake on "We Caa Done." Regardless of the sales, the multiple MOBO Award winner has never been one to let his fans down, and he appears equally enthusiastic about providing for them while on tour.
On March 14th, Popcaan shared the schedule with the following caption on his Instagram page: "Great is He Tour kicking off!! Rd time #GiHE #live jah jah god."
