Pavlovich told the outlet that when she told Palmer about the alleged assault, including instances in which she was reportedly r*ped and forced to ingest Gaiman’s ur*ne, while his child was in the room, Amanda seemingly was shocked. However, she only suggested Neil get counseling, which he seemingly never attended.
Likewise, another woman referred to by the pseudonym Rachel told Vulture that she first reportedly entered a relationship with Palmer, who then introduced her to the author. Rachel shared with the publication that Neil Gaiman’s demands often scared or hurt her, even though there was no “blatant rupture of consent,” adding she felt Amanda gave her to him “like a toy.”
In the wake of these allegations, the internet is now calling out Amanda Palmer for seemingly enabling her former husband to allegedly abuse other women and being complicit in it. For instance, X user @bakingbolshevik wrote on the platform:
“I hope Amanda Palmer gets her comeuppance for the way she fed these young women to Neil Gaiman for s*xual exploitation. She is not innocent in this at all.”
Many people joined the conversation and shared similar reactions on the platform.
“Let’s also talk about 36-year-old Amanda Palmer allegedly having s*x with a 20-year-old fan of hers, and then offering said fan up to her abusive 50-year-old husband when she got bored. Excoriate her too. Both of them are disgusting. The depravity of these people is breathtaking,” a person wrote.
“Not Amanda Palmer chucking vulnerable young fans into the caldera of Neil Gaiman as if appeasing a bloodthirsty god in hopes of ensuring his continued favor, only to wind up destitute after a custody battle with said god,” one person wrote.
“When she & her son lived in New Zealand (after NG bailed back home during lockdowns) I felt uneasy with the amount of support she received from the community under the pretense of a poor single mum/ starving artist. Guess that wasn’t the worst thing she did. Enabling r*pe is vile,” wrote another.
Others continued to weigh in.
“Neil Gaiman s*xually abusing his son’s nanny while in bed with his son should be enough to take that little boy away from him for good. I hope Amanda Palmer can figure out how to be a better person for her son’s sake but she is absolutely complicit in this,” a netizen wrote.
“Amanda Palmer describing Neil Gaiman's victim in these song lyrics as ‘Another suicidal mass landing on my doorstep.’ *You* made her a part of your life and left her at the mercy of your ex-husband who you knew had ‘disturbed’ a whole bunch of women s*xually,” another netizen wrote.
“Amanda Palmer having the exact same personality as Ghislaine Maxwell is going to turn me into a skull scientist,” an individual wrote.
“Amanda Palmer is just as guilty. She was handing victims to Neil Gaiman on a silver platter. She could’ve stopped but she didn’t,” wrote another.
So far, Amanda Palmer hasn’t addressed the allegations. Meanwhile, Neil Gaiman’s spokesperson told the media that the s*xual encounters were “consensual” and part of the author’s BDSM activities.
More about the allegations against Neil Gaiman amid Amanda Palmer backlash
According to the Vulture report published on Monday, Neil Gaiman is once again facing s*xual misconduct allegations from four women. Scarlett Pavlovich shared that she and singer-songwriter, Amanda Palmer, had been friends since she was 22, which is how she knew the couple.
As per her claim, Palmer once asked her to babysit her and Gaiman’s son at their Waiheke Island home in New Zealand in 2022, at the time when Amanda and Neil were already separated. Reportedly, Scarlett was waiting for the kid to end a playdate when The Sandman author asked her to take a bath and eventually joined her in the bathtub, n*ked, despite knowing she wasn’t comfortable.
Pavlovich has alleged that Neil Gaiman performed oral and anal s*xual acts on her, asked her to be a “good little girl,” and demanded that she call him “master.” The alleged victim claimed that during the entire time, she babysat for the couple, the writer reportedly continued to abuse her, while the kid learned to address her as “slave.”
Among the other accusations, Scarlett has mentioned that Gaiman reportedly had intercourse with her at a hotel in the presence of the child, forced her to ingest her waste, and left her unconscious at one time.
Similarly, another woman named Katherine Kendall claimed the 64-year-old novelist allegedly kissed her forcibly during a bus tour in 2012 and even attempted to have s*x. Later, he reportedly paid her $60,000 to get therapy and “make up for the damage.”
Meanwhile, a third woman alleged having a physically strenuous relationship with Neil Gaiman. Named, Kendra Stout, the woman claimed she shared a relationship with him in 2003 after meeting him at a book signing. She was 18 at the time and was reportedly beaten by him and also allegedly r*ped in 2007. The Coraline author purportedly ignored Stout’s request one time when she refused to be intimate during a painful UTI.
A fourth woman named Caroline who worked as a caretaker at Gaiman’s home in Woodstock, New York, along with her husband Phillip told Vulture she and her employer reportedly had phone s*x and began a physical relationship after Phillip moved out.
One evening, Neil Gaiman allegedly got into the bed with her as she was reading his 4-year-old son a bedtime story, reached over, and seemingly gr*ped her.
“He didn’t have boundaries. I remember thinking that there was something really wrong with him,” Caroline told the outlet.
This is not the first time Neil Gaiman has faced such accusations. Earlier, in July 2024, a six-episode British podcast series called Master revealed s*xual misconduct accusations against the author from five different women. From 18-year-olds to women in their 20s and 40s, the allegations came from various age groups and from people who were either his fans or professional associates.
Reportedly, most of the alleged victims had to sign NDAs at one point or the other. The American Gods author denied all the accusations at the time. Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer married in 2011 and divorced in 2022. They shared an open marriage and a son together.
