The Crown is a historical drama television series, which revolves around the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II in the UK. The story is noted to start the year 1947, just around the time when Elizabeth was about to marry Philip Mountbatten, and ends with the marriage of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, in 2005.

Created and principally written by Peter Morgan for the online streaming platform Netflix, The Crown was released back on 4th November 2016 and had its final season released on 14th December 2023. The show received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series and two Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series in the Drama category.

One of his prominent roles is as Prince Daemon Targaryen in the prequel of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon.

The actress was also appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire back in 1990 and Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire 11 years later in 2001.

Alex Michael Jennings is an English stage and screen actor who was seen playing the role of Prince Edward in The Crown. For his stage performances, Alex is known for working alongside the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theatre, for various projects. Apart from playing Prince Edward in the series, the actor also played the role of Prince Charles in Stephen Frears' movie "The Queen". He was also seen in projects like The Wings of the Dove, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, Babel, Belle, and The Lady in the Van.
