The Good Bad Mother episode 7 was a much-anticipated episode, as the previous episode ended with Young-soon’s unfortunate news of stage four stomach cancer. As Kang-ho still suffers from retrograde amnesia, his future seems difficult.
Episode 6 of The Good Bad Mother ended with Young-soon refusing to pick up a fallen Kang-ho and telling him to stand up on his own after discovering her cancer. Prior to that, she also heard the local villagers teaming up with Baek Hoon-ah, the musician, to protest her pig farm. She is heartbroken. Sam-sik returns to the village, and Mi-joo gets a business opportunity.

The Good Bad Mother episode 7 sees Young-soon preparing things for Kang-ho, so that he can live without her. Meanwhile, Kang-ho grows closer to the twins. Young-soon is burdened and unable to see a way out. She attempts to kill both herself and Kang-ho but decides against it. However, things get worse unfortunately.
The Good Bad Mother episode 7: Young-soon teaches Kang-ho how to live on her own and decides to end her life
The Good Bad Mother episode 7 begins with a person giving a pep talk to a pig to stay strong for her piglets in the pig farm as Young-soon watches. The villagers are concerned for Young-soon’s health, and their focus is diverted to CEO Song’s men, who help her. The duo end up buying Sung-ae’s cornfield to keep their disguise intact. However, Sam-sik sees the deal and is skeptical about it. Meanwhile, Sam-sik’s previous employer finds him and takes him away.
At home, Kang-ho notices how distracted Young-soon is. A distraught Young-soon writes down the numbers and names of all the repair shops and the instructions to prepare Kang-ho for a life after her. Kang-ho goes to the twins and tells them about Young-soon’s changed attitude. She arrives to take Kang-ho to town and reacts normally, leaving the kids confused.
Young-soon takes Kang-ho to the town to get his farming gear. Kang-ho chases a puppy and is rounded up in a corner by bullies. They try to get him to buy cigarettes, but Kang-ho refuses. As they begin to bully him, Young-soon arrives and chases them away.
The Good Bad Mother episode 7 takes a funny turn as Young-soon takes Kang-ho home and teaches him to protect himself by hurling abuse at people. She makes up tricky questions that are used by buyers and sellers, and she makes him learn curse words.
Young-soon also teaches Kang-ho how to take care of the pigs and the farm. Elsewhere, Mi-joo tells her local customers that she is opening a new shop inside the chemical shop. As they congratulate each other, Geum-ja tells them to stop freeloading off her daughter and start going to her shop.
Sam-sik pops up in the ladies’ conversation, and Mi-joo ends up calling him. A beaten-up Sam-sik picks up the phone but continues to lie about his location. The duo stumbles upon each other and realizes that they are both in the village.
The duo catch up, and Sam-sik tells Mi-joo that Kang-ho has turned into an "idiot." She yells at him. He asks if she still likes Kang-ho, but Mi-joo dodges him and walks away.
Mi-joo returns home to see Seo-jin bawling. He cries because he wants to go to the men’s public bath and dislikes going to the women’s section with Geum-ja and Ye-jin. He tells Mi-joo that he wants to go with his father and asks her to tell him to come back. The Good Bad Mother episode 7 takes another turn as Young-soon ends up coughing blood in the sink. She finally realizes the seriousness of the issue.
Meanwhile, CEO Song’s men sneak around Kang-ho’s house but get caught by Sam-sik. He tries to trick them into making him their consultant by getting money from them to pay his employer.
As Young-soon drives Kang-ho to the farm, she comes across banners protesting against her pig farm on the road. Baek Hoon-ah visits her at the farm, complaining about leakage. He also tells her that no one from the village helped him protest. Young-soon throws the folded banners at him. Frustrated, he screams at Young-soon, asking if she wants to die.
Young-soon gets angry and grabs Hoon-ah by the collar. She yells that she will never give up the pig farm, which ultimately costs her husband’s life. She says that Kang-ho will manage it with his sons, and their grandchildren. Kang-ho watches the altercation.
At the same time, government officials arrive at the pig farm to slaughter the pigs because a neighboring goat farm contracted foot and mouth disease. Despite being unaffected, the pigs are killed as per the quarantine rules. It breaks Young-soon and Kang-ho’s hearts.
The Good Bad Mother episode 7 also sees Sam-sik continuing with his tricks. He tries to set up a partnership with CEO Song’s men and use their money to pay off his 200 million won debt. When the trio discuss things, CEO Song’s men hear about the pig farm and decide to search for evidence that night.
CEO Song’s men find a wig and a USB at Kang-ho’s house as Oh Tae-soo is busy making connections by setting up Ha-young’s marriage with the Dosang Group’s chaebol heir (another cameo by the popular Kim Ji-woong).
Elsewhere, Mi-joo’s business starts well. As the customers talk, she hears that Young-soon bought herbicide for her potato field despite being unable to grow them since pigs were buried in the same soil. Mi-joo hurriedly runs away to find Young-soon and Kang-ho.
The next scene is one of the crucial points of The Good Bad Mother as Young-soon takes Kang-ho to his father’s grave. She finally tells him why she never let him go on a picnic or made gimbaps for him. It is because the last two times she made gimbaps, she lost her loved ones. First, when she lost her parents and brother, and the second time, she lost Hae-sik, Kang-ho’s father.
Young-soon tries to open the herbicide bottle but is unable to. Kang-ho offers to help. In all his innocence, he tells her that they will drink it fast because he is hungry, and as she had taught him, he had to feed the pigs before he fed himself. Young-soon gazes at him longingly.
Mi-joo calls out Young-soon at their house, but no one answers. Sam-sik also arrives, but he isn’t much help. The mother-son duo arrives just in time. Mi-joo notices Young-soon hiding the herbicide bottles and snatches them from her, saying that she needs to take the herbicide to her mother for her garlic field.
The Good Bad Mother episode 7 gives a chance to Kang-ho deepening his bond with the twins. Before leaving, Mi-joo asks Kang-ho to go to the public bath with Seo-jin the next day, along with Sam-sik. Kang-ho excitedly agrees. Sam-sik confronts Mi-joo, asking why he has to go. After this, he gets screamed at by Mi-joo.
Later, Young-soon gives Kang-ho and Ha-young’s gifts to Geum-ja and Sung-ae. The next day, Mi-joo, the twins, and Sam-sik arrive at Kang-ho’s the next morning to visit the public bath. Young-soon meets with a lawyer and makes her will.
Meanwhile, it turns out that Kang-ho disguised himself to leak information about CEO Song and came forward as a lawyer to help clean up the mess. CEO Song isn’t disturbed by it and tells them to find evidence on Oh Tae-soo.
At the public bath, Kang-ho and Seo-jin share an adorable moment before Sam-sik interrupts them. Kang-ho sees Oh Tae-soo on the news and remembers the way Tae-soo insulted him.
The Good Bad Mother episode 7 takes a turn in the next scene, as Young-soon drives Kang-ho to a rehab center and informs him that he will be living there without her. This breaks Kang-ho's heart, and he cries. He pleads with her not to go, but she leaves him.
Young-soon stands on a chair in her living room and looks at the ceiling, planning her next movie. On the other hand, Kang-ho runs away from the center. Young-soon keeps two letters, one addressed to Kang-ho and one to the villagers, on her side table.
The Good Bad Mother episode 7 showcases the twins getting closer to Kang-ho too. Seo-jin tells Mi-joo and Geum-ja that Kang-ho helped him bathe. He says Kang-ho behaved like his father, leading to a violent outcry from Ye-jin because Kang-ho is an "idiot" but their father is rich and smart.
Meanwhile, Kang-ho races to the house despite the heavy rains. Young-soon puts her head inside the noose she created and pushes the chair away. Kang-ho reaches just in time, sees her hanging, and grabs her. Desperate to save her, he forces his body to get up and stands, hugging Young-soon. The Good Bad Mother episode 7 ends on a relieving note as Young-soon is saved by Kang-ho at the very last minute.
The Good Bad Mother episode 7 was not for the faint-hearted. It was one of the most emotional episodes of the show. Young-soon never had a comfortable life, and both her backstory and her present health issues prove the same.
