Disney is leaving no stone unturned to promote its upcoming film The Little Mermaid which is set to release on Friday, May 26, 2023. The story of the film revolves around a mermaid princess named Ariel and her friends. The Disney princess' friends, Sebastian the crab, Scuttle the northern gannet, and Flounder the tropical fish never leave Ariel's side. The upcoming film will feature all these beloved characters.
Sebastian is known for his fierce loyalty and service to Ariel's father, King Triton. The crab is also Ariel's guardian angel. Although Scuttle is one of Ariel's close friends, he has a tendency of displaying foolishness. Flounder is Ariel's kind-hearted best friend. He is mostly anxious but Ariel trusts him more than anybody else.
The film recently released a new poster featuring these characters but received severe backlash on Twitter. Fans of the original Disney film weren't too happy about the new poster and one fan even went on to call it "lifeless and dull."
