On October 26, 2023, Big Hit Entertainment released Jimin's Production Diary Documentary commentary, providing a glimpse of scenes that were not included in the original solo documentary of the same name. Production Diary is the first-ever documentary by the singer showcasing behind-the-scenes of his debut album FACE.

The agency stated:

"A story that couldn't be told back then but can be told now - the behind-the-scenes of the days that didn't make it into the documentary."

In the commentary, Jimin and the producer Pdogg discussed the possibility of featuring Suga in Set Me Free Pt.2 and how they approached him. However, their attempt to collaborate with him ultimately failed.

As soon as the clip went viral on social media, fans expressed their sadness at not being able to get Set Me Free Pt.2 and stated that they needed the remix to be released now if it was possible.

"ITS NOT TOO LATE": Fans want Jimin and Suga to release the remix of the song

Jimin's debut album FACE was published on March 24. In addition, he performed Set Me Free Pt. 2, for the album's release, which received a tonne of support and accolades from all over the world.

In the Production Diary Commentary, FACE's producer, Pdogg, stated that they wanted Suga to cover the rap part for Set Me Free Pt.2, and that's why he made him listen to the song. Pdogg explained:

"We thought about SUGA doing the rap part. That's why you were going to let SUGA hear the song. Let him hear it, and I asked, 'SUGA, can you do this for me?'"

Jimin then revealed Suga's response to his request, saying:

"Yoongi said, 'Hey, let me know if you need me. I will write it right away."

He further mentioned that Pdogg suggested he should cover the song entirely, as it was his story. The Like Crazy singer commented:

"We talked this much already, but... I have thought about this, and this is a story about you. Wouldn't it be better if you write it? The producer suggested that to me. I thought that was right. We just used the name 'Pt.2' among us."

Meanwhile, Pdogg suggested the possibility of a remix for the song in the future, saying:

"Even if it's later, how about we complete the version featuring SUGA? We even thought like that." Jimin humorously referred to Suga as "that they used him."

After hearing their conversation, fans had different reactions. Some declared they were robbed of Set Me Free Pt.2 (feat. Suga), while others prayed to the agency to release the remix version now so they could get a Suga and Jimin collaboration.

Check out how fans are reacting to the revelation of how the Like Crazy singer wanted him to be featured on his Set Me Free Pt.2:

Meanwhile, many fans sarcastically stated that they would never forgive Pdogg for not doing a remix for Set Me Free Pt.2 and not letting Suga sing the rap part of it. Overall, fans want the duo's remix for the song as soon as possible. They also praised Suga for his willingness to help the idol and for his generous and selfless nature in assisting the group members whenever possible.
