The Jordan label has shared a long history together, and one of its most frequent collaborators is the American rapper Jacques Bermon Webster, popularly known as Travis Scott.
After being teased multiple times, it seems as if the Jordan label will finally be releasing the collaborative Air Jordan 4 "Mocha" sneakers. The sneakers were previously reported as a Friends and Family pair; however, according to new reports from Hip Hop Wired, the pair will be released in late 2023 or early 2024.
An official release date for the sneakers, however, hasn't been announced by the Swoosh label yet.
Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 4 “Mocha” sneakers are clad in light brown hue
The Jordan label will continue its partnership with Travis Scott and serve sneakerheads with a brand new makeover for the Air Jordan 4 sneaker model after a series of Air Jordan 1 lineage.
The silhouette has been in the news ever since Travis Scott teased an on-foot look in December 2022. Many fans suspected the release would happen soon, and later media outlets such as SNKRS Dunk and Hip Hop Wired confirmed that the release is possible in late 2023.
The shoe was first seen on the feet of the rapper in 2017 and resurfaced in 2022. The sneaker model Air Jordan 4 has been among the most hyped Jordans among sneakerheads as they recall the addition of TPU cages. The Jordan site introduces the Air Jordan 4 sneaker model as follows:
"The Air Jordan IV was the first global market release of the franchise. Another first, the shoe appeared in Spike Lee's film Do the Right Thing, transcending the game of basketball to make a significant impact on pop culture. All eyes were on Jordan as he continued to rise."
The sneaker pair of Travis Scott's Air Jordan 4 "Mocha" is currently one of the most coveted and rarest shoes. The shoe's upper is clad in a light brown hue, aka mocha. The mocha upper is accentuated with black netting, which immediately attracts the eyes of sneakerheads.
The overall aesthetic of the shoe matches military wear with hints of streetwear. More details are added to the shoe with the TPU lacing wings and the leather lining. Multiple branding details are added throughout the shoes, such as the "Travis Scott" and "Air Jordan" branding on the tongue tags.
The branding for Travis Scott's label, Cactus Jack, is added to the hang tags, heel tabs, and insoles.
The silhouette is given a mid-cut construct with a visible air unit, mesh side panels, and the iconic "wings" logo, which allows sneakerheads to wear the shoe with 18 different lacing options. The shoe's upper is constructed out of brown leather material, which contrasts with sail-hued midsoles.
The shoe further features a regular Jumpman logo, a red Nike Air logo on the left heel, and a Cactus Jack logo on the right. The eyelets are filled with marble prints, and a co-branded brown leather hangtag is added as an accessory. The shoe is rumored to be released to the general public between Fall 2023 and Spring 2024.
